If Tyrone has performed twice today, hopefully that means I'll get to see Ricardo on Tues

I've put my reservations aside and booked one of the last single seats. I have to see this!

I also thought that the revised choreography of the ending had so much more impact and, as a Christian, it went several steps towards resurrection. Some of my Christian friends won’t see the play because ALW doesn’t give us that. There shouldn’t be a resurrection (which there never was anyway). The Bill Kenwright version a few years ago added the Resurrection. Totally ruined it. On a more positive note, the new photos look absolutely stunning. I really really want to book for it now but the single seat issue makes it a struggle.

Went past the Opera House last week for the first time since lockdown. Sad to see all the posters and marquee still decked out for this.

Based on Twitter reports, tonight’s performance was cut short because of the insane weather here. Ricardo Afonso on. saw similar on Instagram. The rain looked awful

How do they shoe-horn 5 6 7 8 into the show ? Mentioned that to my hubby earlier and he came up with this "My Harrods owning baby Is driving me a crazy From ladies' wear to food hall I can have whatever I like My retail Romeo Kits me out from head to toe Push the button for floors 5, 6, 7, 8"

Looks like there's a show stop for rain, judging by a post I've just seen on Instagram. Hope it's not rained off!

My weather app is suggesting rain tomorrow night. I really hope the first performance doesn’t get rained off. After everything, that would be such a kick in the teeth. What’s the Open Air theatre policy for rain? I was there exactly a year ago today for Evita and there was heavy rain until about an hour before show start. The show went ahead but was paused mid-act while they waited for more showers to pass over. The rain started again in Act 2 but they carried on. If JCS hasn't got much choreography they may carry on as long as possible.

What was the original tweet? It was taken down pretty promptly from what I can gather, I've not seen it.

To be honest this looks like it's going to be close to the full show? I was thinking that too. Certainly looks like similar choreography to the full show. Obviously there'll be bits they can't replicate- wonder if they'll manage to crucify Jesus whilst still socially distancing!

Scottish theatres to reopen with social distancing from 14 Sept; hopefully will encourage BoJo and chums to try to match or beat that, or else look like Nicola Sturgeon has got a better grip on the situation than they have... Beginning to think it'd extremely unlikely we're going to see theatres opening back up soon. If the talk is of the pubs closing again to compensate for schools going back then it's not going to be possible for theatres to open.

Yup, I've also seen a few clips of them rehearsing Drew McOnie's insane choreography and I am now also convinced this is gonna be epic! Am certainly thinking at least semi staged and very much not a conventional concert. Grr...wish I'd got a ticket now

won't be rushing back to see this unless it goes back to the original version, not the lewd sexist version last toured.

I feel as though a lot of venues are experimenting with socially distanced seating plans in terms of demand etc to work out what works best...odd that OAT hasnt provided more solo seats but hopefully things will be better for future shows! Or maybe the single seats went on the first day? you can still see on the plans where the single seats were even if they've been sold.

No schedule. You could end up seeing any combination of Jesus/Judas/Mary

Very poor selection of single seats, mostly with handrail warnings. Agreed, but you shouldn't have anyone in the seat next to you, if you want to stretch the other way. i can't justify paying that amount for an uncomfortable seat along with the train fare down as well. Gutted as really want to see this again.
