Don't you just love it, as a 22 year old with an average/bigger build, when your old neighbour walks past and tells you "and you've put on weight", when you've lost 3 stone over the course of 3 months and kept it off for over a year? Feels great, that.

Apparently this is a thing! Dream cast? Might not be beyond the realms of possibility that some from the RAH Concert might be considered. Maybe Josh Groban would be tempted back to Broadway next year, schedule permitting? Adam Pascal? Maybe even Idina? Or completely new people!

Never left at the interval; would've at Wonderland if I didn't have 'connections' in the show and would've at Whisper House if they had one! Other than that, I'm a mixture of finding something positive in everything I see, but also going to see things that I know I have a very high chance of liking. Gotta spend those duckets wisely! The Whisper House did have an interval when I saw it (and I very nearly did leave then too!). Did they change it during the run, or did you see it elsewhere (i.e. not at The Other Palace)? No you're right - it absolutely did have an interval and I've no idea why I completely made up that it didn't! I must be thinking of something else but I can't even remember what it was! But now that you've jogged my memory, what I do remember is that I *had* to stay for Act 2, not because I wanted to!

I haven't seen the show, but it's a shame that with all the amazing reports on here/twitter/great reviews, the trailer does a pretty awful job of selling the show (in my opinion!).

I definitely regret not leaving The Entertainer (Kenneth Branagh) at the interval. Tickets were even free!! But was with a friend and it was also the cinema screening night so didn't want to be uncouth. Shut my eyes for a bit though! Back of the stalls luckily (first time back stalls at the Garrick was lucky!), so not on camera.

Oh please do tell who the Elphaba was! Even if it is a PM I think that would be wise! And here I am thinking which Prime Minister has played Elphaba!!

Steal of the year, seat A5 stalls. Only available at the box office, it's £20 a part. Slightly restricted view but honestly, go and get this seat if you can! I'd say you can see 99% of the show Ooh now this is interesting...how did you come across this? And do you have an inkling at all on what the chances of the seat being randomly available would be, considering you seem to need to know to ask for it at the Box Office I presume?? Thanks for letting us know! Desperate to see it again!

does anyone happen to have a link to the seating plan for Hamilton at the victoria palace as the current plan for the theatre doesnt even show my seat as actually existing? Don't quote me on this, but I don't think an official current seating plan has been published at the moment, as renovations are still taking place at the Victoria Palace! But I imagine it must have to be finalised pretty soon-ish. Having said that - you could see a full seating plan when you chose your own seats when originally buying tickets (before they took that option away!) so it obviously must exist in some form, if not completely 100% accurate yet.

Quite an angry protest now taking place outisde Kensington & Chelsea Town Hall. They managed to get in to the building but have since now left and are now protesting outside. I believe it was planned as a peaceful protest but it's certainly not anymore. Extraordinary footage on the BBC News channel, but it's a bit of a worry that some may turn this into a violent protest, completely taking away from the very important reason they are all there. Not much being said in reply from the Council themselves.

I actually appreciated the set more when I was much closer on a 2nd viewing. I found it actually gave a sense of time and place very well and I feel the transitions to various locations were actually pretty well executed - but I've never seen any other production of Evita, so I've nothing to compare it to!

Wait-- isn't Marsha playing Gigi in the Miss Saigon tour? She's with that until 1st Aug, so hardly anything into the tour. Maybe Hamilton came along after she accepted the Saigon tour and once she got offered Hamilton, it was too good to turn down, so they let her out of her Saigon contract early (considering both are now CamMack shows) and then found someone else to Gigi it up once Marsha leaves.

So Jamal trained at RADA, so they haven't even gone for someone who trained specifically at a 'Musical Theatre' drama school. This gives me hope!! 25 and recently graduated. What a job to land. Good luck to him and the alternate, too!

Come on..you're killing me here. You can't have white people play brown people..are you guys serious, do I really need to teach you this? I thought you watched Season 5 Episode 5 of Orange is the New Black. If not, please go watch it. But you can have brown people play white people, a la George Washington in Hamilton? Hmm.

Hmm, well he has tweeted before about Lin playing the role in London so I'm not sure we can say he didn't at least add to the rumours. True, he may be being told to tweet this by his boss or whatever, I don't blame Baz personally for any of this, I just think it's slightly off. It's not even like it would be someone known in musical theatre, if it's a recent graduate it will be a complete unknown. Just seems a little weird and inconsiderate to create any buildup whatsoever. It personally doesn't bother me if it's an unknown, it's more so the way it's being handled. A minor not major quibble though. Ah yes, again that's very true. Now you mention it, I remember him saying that Lin could come in at some point after it had opened, did he ever hint that he may start the West End production as Hamilton? But again, as we've both said, he'll only be tweeting what he's told. But you're totally right - it's all very minor. Maybe to the producers, an announcement of an unknown is hugely exciting! I still feel that it's too easy to read stuff into his tweets and get yourself excited over nothing but I definitely recognise that he is adding fuel to the fire. But hey, it's working. We're all talking about it. And I already have my ticket! Anyhoo, above all else, I hope that if it is an unknown, that the poor lad doesn't get hours of flack on twitter tonight from 'fans' saying that they were hoping for someone else.

I'd say he did the same for Dreamgirls if I remember correctly, and it's possible he's done some pre-announcement announcements (how weird that this is even a thing!) for other things but I can't remember in all honesty! I'm probably wrong in saying he hasn't created any hype what-so-ever, but I don't think he's gone especially over-the-top and is totally at fault for the actual over-the-top mass hysteria that has spawned from it!! You may be right but Amber Riley IS exciting casting! Even if this potential drama graduate is great (I'm sure he is!), it wont excite anyone as no one will know who he is. And he knows how hyped the fans will get, so it does seem a little mean to get their hopes up, especially when there have been strong rumours floating around about people like Lin and Riz Ahmed. Yes that's all very true! He might be getting their hopes up - but he didn't start any rumours, so in a sense they're getting their own hopes up. He might be causing 'hype' on twitter, but 1) that's his job (ish!!) and 2) because all he's announcing is the casting of lead characters from the biggest musical import in recent years. He's said absolutely nothing about it being anyone 'famous', only things to do with the musical, it's really not his fault if the person cast is not 'well known' enough for people!

Even though another block of tickets are going on sale and there are sure to be returns, they are also "sold out" until June 2018, so it actually doesn't even really matter. And I would say the fans themselves have created the hype, not 2 tweets from Baz. And I'd bet that they would much rather have 'Hamilton' the star, not who's in it, so starting off with 'unknowns; seems like a sensible choice to let the show do the talking. Then when it's won all its awards, they could bring Lin in, or whoever/whatever to increase "hype".
