Which makes his run about a year - which is a lot longer than his previous runs in shows. I have to say, I saw him last week and was blown away by his performance. He really has come on in leaps and bounds since he started in February..

Ben, Nadim and Celinde are all staying on along with Megan Llewellyn, Jacinta Mulcahy and a number of the ensemble.

1. Hairspray 2. Kinky Boots 3. Beautiful 4. Phantom of the Opera 5. Jersey Boys However, I could easily include more to that list. The likes of Mormon, Les Mis, Rock of Ages, Mamma Mia and Memphis would feature in my list if it was my top 10. ...but it isn't a top ten!!!! It's about disciplining yourself to really think "which are my top 5", not casually chuck in your next five like the rules don't apply to you....c'mon mods. ..this rule breaking must surely deserve sanctioning?..Aaaaaarggghhhhhhhh! 😬 Which is why I gave a top 5! I just wanted to mention other shows which could have made my top five.

I really preferred the original Curve production. Practically to a man (or women) I thought it was a much better cast than the tour. The only one i could say was a tie were the two Motermouths. I thought the original production was just better all round really. I did enjoy the tour though. I preferred the set of the original Curve production, but the cast and band of the touring show. Really, this is a show that can still be enjoyed even with a flimsy set. I saw the last tour 3 times and loved it every time.

With this show, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't officially announce the McKinley until their first day - that's what they did with Alexandra Ncube.

Ben Forster is back tonight - I know some people who booked tonight thinking it was Kieran who won't be best pleased.

Brightman doesn't do matinees on Broadway unless it's the only show that day, so any evening show should be fairly safe.

It's the school holidays - probably the peak season for Wicked, so they're bound to have extra shows during this part of the year. I hardly think the health of their Elphabas came into consideration when they chose to do the extra shows, as they still had 3 healthy Elphabas at that point!

Looking at the official Twitter account - the message from the London company to the touring company, Michelle already has her green make up on. Maybe she's on again today.

Wednesday evening is normally the alternate Donna. Other than that, it depends on holidays and illness.

He hasn't done a long run with a show for some time, so I would be very surprised if he stayed on.

Will Blum has not long joined the Broadway company, and while he is apparently excellent, I can't see ALW asking him to open the London show. I reckon we'll get Alex Brightman for a few months before a British Dewey takes over which will hopefully be Nathan.
I cannot picture Simon Lipkin as Dewey at all, and I don't think his voice is strong enough to cope with the score.

I thought Matt Cardle was supposed to be in this. Has he pulled out or been replaced by Ramin?

I've listened to the Hamilton cast album and absolutely hated the score. I liked maybe 2 songs overall, and have absolutely no interest in seeing it when it comes to London next year.

Saw this yesterday afternoon and I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. Trevor Dion Nicholas is the obvious highlight and I think will be a shoe-in for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical at the Oliviers. That said, the rest of the cast were very good too. Dean John Wilson is the perfect fit for Aladdin and Jade Ewen as Princess Jasmine really does shine, and I thought they were great together. I love Aladdin's 3 sidekicks too - they delivered some great one-liners. I loved the magic carpet - and could not see anything attached to the carpet (though I know there are wires, they're well hidden by the staging of the number). That was the one moment that made everyone go 'WOW'. It was so well done and I love how it flew all around the stage in every direction, rather than just limited to back and forth (like the Glass Elevator in CATCF). The score is great - especially Friend Like Me and Proud of Your Boy (can't understand how that got cut from the film). The new songs complement the others well and are very well performed. Where we you sitting? Dress circle - from up there, no wires could be seen.

Alex has lost a considerable ton of weight since the show started. He's quite smaller now, you can tell just by his face. I don't think he needs to be necessary chubby or chunky, but I think they would look for someone who doesn't have conventional leading man looks, which is quite refreshing if you ask me. Both of Alex's understudies are in a similar mould to him too (in terms of their build), so I don't think we'll be seeing the likes of Tompsett and Lipkin. I think Nathan Amzi and maybe Daniel Buckley would be good for Dewey.

The problem with Lion King is that Circle of Life is the best song in the show, so everything that comes after is not as good. In Aladdin, much as I love Arabian Nights, there are standout songs later in the show so I suspect (and hope) that this will be better than Lion King.

This is one of my favourite musicals (saw the tour for the 3rd time in Llandudno and absolutely loved it) so I can't wait to see this. Sounds like NBC are doing a similar thing to Fox's Grease Live in terms of filming and audience, which can only be a good thing.

Apparently they are only seeing people from the Royal for this... I would assume for ensemble and understudies for the leads. I would imagine the auditions for Henri, Adam, Milo, Mme Baurel and their understudies would be open to actors

Saw this on Tuesday and absolutely loved it. Wasn't sure what to expect from the show, but I was very pleasantly surprised - particularly by the score which had plenty of memorable songs. The whole cast were terrific - standouts for me were Gina Beck, Rebecca Trehearn and Sandra Marvin

Matt Corner is very good live as Frankie - the video of him at the Piazza doesn't do him justice. I really like the new cast, but the theatre was the quietest (in terms of numbers in the audience, and the volume) I've ever known it for a Jersey Boys show, which I think may have affected my enjoyment of the show.

I rather enjoyed wonder.land in terms of the plot and performances, but the songs were dire. Not sure the score needs to be inflicted on any more people than it has already.

I have the exact same view as Michael. For a musical, the most important thing for me is the score. As long as I like the score, I can live with a dodgy plot and still love it (Rock of Ages comes to mind - I love that show). I also agree that I could never enjoy a Sondheim show as I don't like a single score of his.

I would agree with those who say anything Sondheim. I've listened to a number of his scores and I've yet to find one score of his that I like.
