I was at Wicked last night in the dress circle and I noticed there seemed to be very inconsistent sound (particularly for the ensemble, the balance seemed to fluctuate a lot). Is this how it usually is? There was also a lot of blatant photography going on in the audience which was very distracting. The main culprit did get his camera confiscated during the interval but this was after audibly snapping the way through Defying Gravity.
Great show though, I'd never seen Rachel Tucker before but after reading parts of this thread I was keen to catch her and she was absolutely fantastic! It was very fun to revisit Wicked as I think it has been many years since I last saw it live.

Decided randomly to go see Wicked tomorrow which I haven't seen in many years. Looking forward to it!

Happy to hear it's coming over, I saw it in New York a few weeks ago and really loved it more than I thought I would.

Haha, that's good going, I can imagine Kate Bush especially was a similar situation. The Glastonbury gods have certainly been kind to me and continue to be this year but it's such a stressful ticket day!! I closed out my booking at 12.15pm, but I suspect that the dates I was picking made the booking process just a bit easier. I did spend a nerve-wracking 5 minutes waiting for the seats to confirm though! BTW, does anyone know if I can book another set of tickets, as I've only booked 2 so far? The email said 'one use only' for the code, so I presumed I wouldn't be able to book any others (if I wanted to) until the general sale date. I've just seen a few people talking about additional bookings that they're making - were they all done in a single transaction, or are those codes valid for the next 2 weeks at any time, up to the ticket number limit? You can book up to 2 more now, I assume at any time up until the pre-sale sells out. Then you would be able to book 2 more in the general sale.

I wonder if the producers will care that it's being reported that it was really easy to get tickets? Doesn't make it sound like the hottest ticket in town, does it? They're retweeting comments that say that so they don't seem to care. Although I'm amazed that some people found it so easy. Probably the most difficult ticket booking situation I've ever had. Yes, it does seem like it varied between people who found it very easy and very difficult! I also personally found it quite difficult to book my tickets and lost out quite a few times (tickets had been sold after waiting 10 minutes in the queue for them). Strange! However, as everyone I know who tried did eventually manage, in that sense it wasn't too bad.

I had a question about the ticket limit (sorry if this is a silly question!) - "There is a strict ticket limit of 4 tickets per person, per booking period during priority on-sale. At general on-sale from noon on 30th January, the ticket limit rises to 6." Does this mean if we buy all 4 during the pre-sale, we can only buy 2 more in the general sale? Yep. I emailed them to confirm this. Ah, thanks so much! Wish I'd thought that through properly before as I'd been planning on getting 2 pairs now and then a 4 in the general - glad I didn't go ahead blindly with that and get my tickets invalidated or something! But so far I only have 1 pair so can wait til the 30th to try for a 4

I signed up last year...never had a thing back to confirm...is that the norm? I'm sure I signed up last year as well but never received an email. I'm really hoping it just went to my spam as this automatically clears after a certain period :/ It will be really frustrating if something went wrong! But oh well.

Going to New York this week. Have booked to see Hamilton, The Color Purple and the off-Broadway Sweet Charity with Sutton Foster, and am also hoping to rush/SRO/get tickets for Great Comet, Dear Evan Hansen, Falsettos and Waitress. Very excited!

Absolutely love this show!
In terms of musical references, there's also Dream Ghosts referencing Dreamgirls (with Amber Riley!).

I saw this for the third time on Monday and was very glad to get the chance to have seen it once more before it closes. It was the first time I'd seen the whole cast without any understudies (first time for David Bedella as Kevin as well) which was cool. Everyone was fantastic and having seen it a couple months ago and not really connected to Gabriela Garcia's Nina I found her superb this time.
There's nothing I love more than the scene at the club, absolutely mesmerizing - so much to take in!

Looking forward to seeing this, this afternoon, and also seeing how busy the theatre is. Surely this deserves to go out on a high? Not sure how busy it was outside of the Stalls, but quite a few empty rows last night unfortunately, although that did mean I got moved forward to a much better seat from my £10 deal. Although at least the audience that was there seemed very appreciative. It was a lovely show - although not normally the kind of story I go for, I am really glad I got to see it and I wouldn't have done so if not for this thread.

This is gonna be an unpopular opinion but I honestly don't care what they charge (up to £150) providing this lives upto the Broadway production. The best nights in recent memory for me have been the nights I've seen Hamilton and I just think it's worth the £100-£145 I've paid to see it, especially when I've paid more than half of that to see trash. As long as this isn't gonna take on the Broadway premium prices and as long as there are these cheaper options and lottery that Cameron is promising then I'm fine with whatever. And hey if I can pay £150 and get the best seat in the house compared to £150 for limited view which is what I got last time on Broadway then I'm cool with that. Agreed!

I'm always genuinely surprised whenever I remember that Thriller! is still going, it kind of baffles me to be honest. I was also quite happy to hear about Jersey Boys closing.

I'm seeing this again this weekend for the first time since last December, very excited to see that David Bedella is still in it as he was out when I saw it so hoping to catch him this time. Glad to hear it's still going strong!

Is there any further news on this? Would love to see it happen as I adored the show in New York and would happily see it whoever they pick.
