Do not get Grace Mouat as Karen at all. It’s a great comedic role Hard agree - I fully expected her to be in this, but as someone else surely. Janis?

She appears to be in absolutely everything. I seriously do not get it.

ATG+ email just arrived, three hour pre-sale is now open for members for the extension till Feb 2025 Thanks for this, my daughter will be very happy as we have a theatre trip to London In January and I've booked this now. Friday matinee is great also as we struggled a bit with that this year (although Christmas Carol was a great fit in the end).

I only know one person, Tom Xander from BOM fame but I had a feeling I wouldn't know any of the cast as I'm not really the age demographic for this show. Still looking forward to seeing it though.

She was a perfectly acceptable alternate Juliet in ‘& Juliet’. The dictionary definition of vanilla but she sang it ok.

I gave that one a miss after seeing the dogs... but certainly not a reach in casting then for her. I can't imagine her playing Janis with any grit at all

She appears to be in absolutely everything. I seriously do not get it. Neither do I. Pleased about Ako Mitchell though (the headmaster is my favourite character in the film) Also Aharon Rayner in the ensemble (I was very taken with his voice in Bronco Billy)

Just from the trailer alone I’m not buying Grace at all. It feels like likes she’s putting on a character instead of inhabiting it. When you look at the Bway Mean Girls og cast the Karen looks stupid even in a still photo.

Hopefully it's a bad photo, but they all look way too old.

Hopefully it's a bad photo, but they all look way too old. I say this with love but seeing the shot of Cady I'd assume she was playing the teacher not the student.

This is going to be the next teen girl 'Heathers' isn't it? “Mean Girls” is Shakespeare compared to awfulness that is “Heathers”

Mean Girls is basically Heathers without dead people.

I think ‘Heathers’ gets a bad rap based on its Other Palace mega-run. A backlash against Carrie, a backlash against it constantly returning to a venue supposedly for new writing, backlash against Kenwrights practices re: covers (or lack of) and the stereotypically ‘extra’ young theatre fans that follow it. At its heart it is a darkly comic story of murder, identity and fitting in so not necessarily the obvious choice for such popularity. I think its a great show with brilliant music and find it a fun watch.

Heathers definitely has the superior score in my opinion, but Mean Girls is funnier (at least the screenplay is but I think from “modernising” the musical they lost a lot of the best lines).

Yeah I'd say Heathers is definitely the better musical of the two.
