Tip for those visiting the Bristol Hippodrome - if you are quick, you have enough time to get drinks in and finish them at the very cheap pub next door (the Drawbridge), and still be back in before the interval-bell.

That I am surprised it doesn’t happen more often, unscrupulous people just help themselves to a couple of proseccos.

Is it not the case that we theatre-goers are just too inherently polite and civilised to quaff someone else’s drinkie’s at the interval. To get decent seats for CFA we did the ATG variety bundle and as I am a non-drinker with my medication,my wife was left with two huge bottles of continental beer and some wine thrown in for good measure. No wonder she enjoyed the show! I recommend the ice creams and the kettle chips! Non-regular theatre-goers probably splash out on drinks in the theatre as part of the ‘treat’ of a night out at a show.

I've just this minute renewed my card and there's no discount for drinks available any more; just no fees, priority booking etc. The Classic is £35 if paid by DD or £45 otherwise. The Plus offers ticket protection and access to their own "forum" and is £59 by DD (or £69). As I'm not bothered about the Plus extras I've gone for the basic. I thought LWT theatres were the worst for drinks prices? Forum? Forum? What forum? 😡 ATG call it "The Stage Gets Social". Not sure if it's fully set up but as I didn't pay to access it, I can't tell.
