If anyone has the day off tomorrow, TodayTix has some good seats in the stalls and dress circle for the 3pm performance for £40.

Just looked at the Opera House website. only 5 £90 seats in the stalls and 5 £68 seats in the Circle for the first night. Everything else has sold for the week.

Had an email to say they’ve released more seats in Manchester “due to overwhelming demand.” Looked at a couple of dates and they’re in the left and right blocks, only about halfway down the stalls, so does look like a lot of the seats never went on sale. Mix of £30 and £40, £50 Sat evening.

Mix of £30 and £40, £50 Sat evening. I was at the Opera House this evening. The stalls and circle were both full, apart from the rear few rows of the side blocks in the stalls. The gallery was empty. It was definitely the most starstruck audience I've ever been in. All the talk before the show was of nothing except Jenna and Aidan!

When the play got announced for the Pinter I was toying with the idea of making it down to London to watch it, however the ticket prices quickly put me off so I was very happy when it got announced for a week long run in Manchester. Picking up a £25 stalls seat for the final show tonight at the Manc OH, i certainly felt I got my ticket money from my viewing. As other board members noted, it was certainly best to roll with the action and not think too deeply about it or its logic.
With 2 great performances from Turner and Coleman over the 90 minutes who I thought worked well together mixing both some great comedy moments alongside more heartfelt bits (though at times it was the little gestures or looks from someone that said more than any spoken line could have said). It really did feel like a rewatch of “Constellations” in its format of short sharp scenes and its non linear format which seemed to confuse a number of people from speaking to them after the show. Though overall it was well received by tonight’s audience.

Entire audiences should know better, but don't, so there you have it. I would love to see this for Turner alone. Saw him in Lieutenant of Inishmore at the Noel Coward and he's very charismatic, and obviously had stage experience under his belt prior to Poldark. However I can't abide Jenna Coleman's forced banter on my screens, and there's no way I'd pay to see her live. Maybe with an understudy in her place... I'm with you. I couldn't bear Jenna Coleman being snarky and unimpressed in Doctor Who and I can't bear to watch her in anything now.

Saw this in Brighton tonight and although Jenna Coleman and Aidan Turner were excellent, the play itself was just okay. It didn't explain enough about the context of *why* the whole 140 word limit came to be, or anything about how it's enforced, like what happens if they were to go over the limit? They did well with what they had though, and once I got into the concept I enjoyed it a bit more. I found it hard to concentrate at times both because I was questioning the plot and because the man in front kept moving his head from one side to the other every few moments!

I echo your thoughts exactly. Interesting set up but not explored at all.

I though the reaction to the play was a resounding “meh” but…

I was baffled to see that in the ROH's season announcement earlier. Given the point of the play is to look at using only a limited number of words then to do an adaptation with dancers seems most odd. Since dance doesn't usually use words anyway the characters can just mime at each other! I had no interest in seeing the play & even with 2 dancers I like in the cast I can't see myself wanting ot see the dance adaptation either.

Alexander Campbell and Francesca Hayward are dynamite together. This should be interesting.
