No idea, she said ''just sell them outside'' and then proceeded to help other people. That is not my idea of good customer service

Hi all Saw the show back when it was snowy earlier this year so in the rush to get seated on time after a nightmare journey into London I somehow didn't buy a programme.... is anyone seeing the show soon who wouldn't mind buying me one and posting it (or letting me collect from central London)? Happy to send money, plus some extra for your trouble, in advance. Thanks in hope! Paul

Loved this show. Only thing we found a bit bad was Ash as Hamilton. Everybody on stage outshines him. That role need a bigger performance. Box office in Victoria is weird. A couple in front of us complained about their seats being restricted view while they werent sold as such and the lady told them to go outside and try to sell them!!!! Thats not even allowed is it? I complained afterwards about a seat I was moved into turned out to be mildly restricted, when I'd originally booked an excellent unrestricted seat. I was told the box office manager disagreed and said the view was great, despite all the moments in the show I'd listed where I'd said you couldn't see the action. They don't need your support, they sell every seat they have, customer service is therefore not a priority.

I wouldn't say Giles is off any more than Rachelle. I've just seen she is off again today, she seems to be off all the time!

But of all the people in the show, I always see that she is off alot.

Does anyone know what the lowest price for Broadway tickets is now (from Ticketmaster not resale) asking for a friend (no really I am, please help me shut her up)

It's extremely hard to find as they don't list the prices anywhere, and Ticketmaster will only give you prices for seats it's able to sell to you (I've found orchestra seats from Ticketmaster for a year away from $350+). There's an article from a year ago saying the cheapest seats have gone from $139 to $179, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were now going for over $200, but that's a guess more than anything. Is it normal Broadway practice to be so cagey about not revealing the price of tickets in a list somewhere online? The London ticket prices are clearly spelled out on the FAQ on the official site, but there doesn't seem to be an FAQ for the Broadway production at all! (I presume the lowest price is still pretty high, otherwise surely they'd be splashing "tickets from $affordable!" everywhere to combat accusations of extortionate pricing?)

It's not just me then...I could also only find that article so my best guess would be the $200 mark. (this friend of mine is being such a drama queen about it anyway I was just wishing to save my social media from further Ham-spam haha)

I'm intrigued now, what's her issue? Can you fob her off with "I've consulted with some theatre experts" now that you've asked the board? (At least *one* of us must count as an expert on something!)

Oh firstly she's just a drama queen. Secondly it's that she missed a booking window for it and now this pricing thing. But also lady, you live in upstate NY, it's been there a damn while... (But also she tends not to believe anything anyone tells her sooooo)

Cut out the drama, she ain't Susan Lucci.

I’m seeing the matinee again on Saturday, anyone know of any planned holidays? To give you some idea: Marsha Songcome and Miriam-Teak Lee were on as Eliza and Peggy/Maria last night but I believe both were unscheduled covers. Hope you have fun! Sat in the GC Slips last night (5 and 6) and have to say they were pretty good value for money. A bit restricted but if you’ve seen the show before that’s not too much of a problem. Marsha Songcome continues to be a very spirited and emotional Eliza, which I absolutely love. And not to sound like a certain other thread on this board - some great unexpected (to me) riffs last night from Eliza, Angelica and Burr - but luckily not overdoing it. I still haven’t seen the full lead cast at the same performance, which is just funny to me now.

It took me 8 visits to see both leads (Hamilton and Burr) on simultaneously. And I saw alternate Hamilton and stanby Burr 5 out of these 8 times (with Burr these were my five first consecutive visits so i seriously doubted Giles even exist). And this is live theatre. People heaving leaves, kids and sicknesses. So before starting all the talks about “what if people are not happy when they are not getting the “advertised” actors” think and count how many days they were off from their jobs due to family commitments, being uneell or just having their day off.

I’ve been six times and love that I haven’t seen the same full cast twice. Not sure if my previous remark was misinterpreted there.

Anyone know who the two leads are this afternoon? Is Jamael on?

Interval tweet - 2nd showing and so far I think Ash is a better Hamilton than Jamael and I’m not 100% convinced by Giles’ Burr, I think Sifiso is better but I’m on the fence with that....

Ok, so I enjoyed my 2nd visit way more than my 1st and I loved that!
I was really lucky to have seen a mix of actors across the two shows and for what it’s worth from me...
Ash acted Hamilton so much better than Jamael, I believed the story much more and he is so engaging to watch.
Sifiso is a better Burr than Giles, whilst Giles is undoubtedly talent and had more stage presence, I really struggled with Giles’ voice - having seen Sifiso I personally feel that you need a strength of voice to keep up with Hamilton and Lafayette, the lisp detracted too much and I felt his voice sounded weak compared to the others.
Understudy King (don’t know who it was sorry!) on my first visit and hands down no comparison to Michael Gibson - so funny!
Jason Pennycook didn’t wow me in either show, he’s much better in the 2nd act but is practically indistinguishable in act 1 - I couldn’t make out anything of what he’s saying when the songs got faster, my friend’s first time seeing the show today and said the same thing in the interval.
Highlight of the whole show however are the ensemble. They don’t get a break and wow that choreography is outstanding!

I felt the exact opposite. Ash had the main part but every other actor overshadowed him during the night I visited. Now I'm really curious to see Hamilton with Jamael.

The same is true of Jamael and I don’t think that it’s a bad thing. You begin to realise that it’s the others in his life that are ‘interesting’ and his reactions are what drive the narrative. Burr is far more exciting. I enjoyed Jamaels interpretation as it was a journey, but the role is a bit dull.

I respectfully disagree with the idea that the role of Hamilton as written is inherently ‘dull’. If you end up with a charisma-free Hamilton who is the least interesting character on the stage and thus you don’t care about them, that’s a big problem in my opinion. This was why I was so disappointed by Jamael’s performance (leaden and no chemistry with any of the other characters). I haven’t seen Ash, but my fascination with the show has waned a bit and I’m not inclined to fork out a load of money to see it again.

Everybody is very charismatic except for the lead. The only thing we disliked during the show.

Show apparently stopped tonight after Right Hand Man because of water leaking onto the stage from the ceiling. They intend to restart soon.
