Latest Hamildrop is pretty great. It's the first version of Burn sung by all the latest Eliza's: Arianna Afsar (Chicago), Julia Harriman (?), Lexi Lawson (Broadway), Rachelle Ann Go (London) , and Shoba Narayan (tour).

Has anyone seen the dance challenge videos they released this week?
I love it!

The reason for Sifiso being on Monday is that Ash Hunter is performing all week. Presumably, this is a week's holiday for Jamael Westman. I'm going on Saturday, so will get to see him after all! From her Instagram it looks as if Rachel is also off on holiday, so Miriam will be on as Angelica at least part of this week (if not all), assuming she's back from her own holiday (if not then it'll be Marsha). West End Covers have confirmed Miriam is on all week as Angelica - that's quite a few senior cast members out at once on a full week's leave. Bit disappointed that they are all off at the same time - presumably prearranged, but still! It's my second visit on Satruday, so I already got to see the original cast in full, but the people I'm going with this time haven't seen the show before, so will miss out on several main cast members. Hope that Giles manages the full week - otherwise we're destined to see a cast almost entirely populated with understudies and standbys. I'm not saying they're not as good, but a show missing a large chunk of main cast members is pretty poor scheduling, IMO.

Every date I checked was either 200 or 100 for seats high up. You need to look a lot further in advance (several months). The last minute tickets are generally the premium priced ones aimed at tourists, particularly the Americans (who still think they're getting a bargain at £200, when the corresponding ones on Broadway go for $750 plus tax). You can occasionally get lucky with a last minute return down to £75 or £90 in the stalls, but if you're not looking to spend that much the seats will be higher up.

Brute persistence is required, but I've seen returns pop up from £37.50 to £89.50 for April and May, sometimes up to 3 weeks in advance. You just need to keep checking.

I saw the show last week from front row of upper circle - fabulous view - that I’d paid £39.50 for - mind you I had booked a year earlier

I love it! Would be cool to know who's singing what but it sounds great overall. There's a music video out now - so you can see who is singing what part. That was fantastic and the harmonies were perfect. I actually prefer that version of the song, it seems to give Eliza some more character than the version thats in the show.

I'm currently in the returns queue to try my luck for tonight. Definitely busier than I thought it would be but I think it might be some sort of holiday for Europeans as a lot of the shows have been really busy tonight so perhaps more people are in town! Doubt I'll get a ticket but I'm staying out of curiosity to see if anyone manages to get in...

They are all that’s left, they have no viewing restrictions so they’re fair game to be sold as premium. They have to turn a profit somehow 🙄

I don't really get what's fair game about that. So they're basically normal tickets, but way more expensive?

It's business. They don't care about us. People are desperate to see it and will pay £200. It's working for them, so discounts are not happening anytime soon.

I don't really get what's fair game about that. So they're basically normal tickets, but way more expensive? Is it any different to other shows that sell premium tickets? Just had a quick look at prices for this Saturday. Lion King top price ticket is £200.25. Book of Mormon is £202.25. Wicked is £175. Bat out of Hell is £175. Even Chicago is £150. The only difference with Hamilton is that due to it's current popularity the majority of cheaper tickets have sold out leaving only premium tickets left on sale.

I'm not from London (or the UK) so I had no idea. Premium seats for Lion King here are around 80 euros. And that's the most expensive premium seat there is. Wanted to say that I'm not going to support any shows with premium seats but didn't know all those shows had them. Insane.

Pretty sure all West End theaters have premium seats. Even small theaters like the Arts. Usually not that expensive though.

It’s simple supply and demand. It’s their product so they can sell it for what they like.
