It so deserves a full London life. As others have said, if they marketed it as 'The Hunchback Of Notre Dame - The Musical' rather than 'Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame', making Disney's name quite small on the posters, I think it would then draw the right crowd and do well. Families would hopefully get the message to stay away. The only kiddie-appealing song is Topsy Turvy, and you don't even get the singing gargoyles from the film in the stage version (although I did love them).
How they'd begin to cast it, I just don't know...Patrick Page and Michael Arden are just brilliant and set a very high standard!

I was recently at Pippin and sat next to a lovely lady who was one of the trustees at the NYMT. She was talking about this production and said how wonderful it was. Would have loved to have seen it.
