Loving how Emma Rice is treating the audience, Romantics Anonymous style, to an interval song in the foyer.

I'm seeing this again tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it - turns out I haven't stopped thinking about it since I saw it in York. I'm especially looking forward to hearing Vinnie Heaven's song about Thunder again - I can't stop listening to it on soundcloud.

I really think this production is lovely. It's such a joyous thing and I just love the cast. The atmosphere at Home yesterday was really good - it was sold out, and the audience seemed really into it, lots of applause and cheering and half the audience standing at the end. I really want to see it again. I hate to think of it just stopping after next week. What are the chances of some other dates, do you think?

I'm not sure if it'll let me add my own video of the interval song...

I love Rebecca Collingwood as Gwen barking her orders at the audience to return to their seats!

I saw this at the matinee in Oxford today which, though not sold out, was pretty full so there was a good atmosphere. Mixture of seniors and school parties, which would be an odd combination at any other time; the only younger adults were the teachers. I enjoyed it whilst not finding it outstanding or perhaps quite as good as some of the reviews led me to expect but it was perfectly entertaining and made the basis for a pleasant day out. I saw a film first so though I wasn't able to see a second show in the evening as I would when in London for the day, it was a worthwhile trip and so much nicer than trekking to London yet again.
NB: for any seniors witin reach of Oxford and not aware of this, matinees at the Playhouse are astonishingly good value at £14 for any seat; I've already booked for a matinee of Pride And Prejudice (Sort Of) in March.

Any plans to transfer or is it a stand-alone?

I'm on the mailing list for the Theatre Royal Bath, and listed amongst next year's productions is Malory Towers, from the 5th to the 9th May.
It's also being advertised as 'Prior to West End' which would imply some kind of transfer. Late 2020?

Yes, I saw that from the Bath brochure - and after I made a special trip to Oxford to see this, thinking it was my best chance! However, I had a good day out; it'll be months before it reaches London anyway and it's great for the company and production. @elanor will be pleased, too!

Beaten to it, but had just spotted this scheduled for Birmingham (at the Rep) next July. So it must be touring. Can't see a full list of dates anywhere yet.

Yes, I’d heard it had been picked up for West End - nice to see that it’s been semi-announced. It’s a really lovely production (I thought) that deserves a further life.

I really hope the same cast will be able to do it though. I especially loved Vinnie Heaven and Fran Mills. But they were all just right.

Also listed for Canterbury, Marlowe Theatre, 14-18 July 2020. I wish the Wise Children website would stay updated, I contacted them about something before seeing this in Cambridge and never received a reply - they need to look at managing that side of thing better really

Anyone who missed this at HOME (or, like me, would love to see it again), it's heading to The Lowry from 20th-25th April 2020. It's on sale to members now and general sale tomorrow.

I've booked for the Lowry, and I'm taking a friend who didn't see it last time. It makes me nervous showing things I loved to someone else in case they hate it.
I really really REALLY hope Vinnie Heaven and Fran Mills are back for it at least, although I hope they have the same full cast.

Does anyone know anything about the seating at the southbank centre please, are the cheaper seats at the bank significantly worse than those further forward in next price bracket up?

Do you think? My sister wants to take her kids so was looking at the cheapest seats right at the back and wondered if the next bracket forward would make that much difference quality wise. May not be able to wait for offers as will need to pin my brother in law down to be free and more importantly me as the baby sitter for the little ones.

Just picked up three £15 tickets at the Brum Rep for this tour.Standard tickets are £35 and surround the cheaper seats, but if you go into the drop-down menu, choose Cheapest Option and then isolate the seating plan, the cheap seats pop up in yellow and hey presto!Strange when the sight lines at the Rep are really good for these cheaper seats?
