Is there an 'official' order? The Union Jack seems to come first and the Beefeater last?

My favourite of the costumes for the finale is obviously Lola's as it is a stunning outfit and one of the best entrances for a scene ever... for the lights to all go down then to come back up and she is standing the looking as stunning as she does on the end of the runway. Of the Angel's though, my favourite is Marcus Collin's pink number, I just think he looks amazing and the outfit is beautiful with it.

I think there are more than 10 looks. As far as I remember, there is that "iconic" costume of a union-jack coloured beefeater and if the "original" Angel (I am bad with the names in the mornings) is not on than a swing wears it, but if the very same swing is on simultaneously with the "union jack" one I think, he wears something else. Correct me if I'm wrong so how does that add to more than 10? All 10 boys (the 6 angels plus 4 swings) all have their own outfits for the finale but every night there must be the union jack so if a swing is covering this role will wear the union jack outfit instead of their own. The outfits are: Union Jack, Cricket (not used on broadway for main angels), Beefeater, Red Riding, McQueen Tartan, New Yorker, Police lady, TFL lady, Knight and the tassley spikey one i have no idea how to describe (this one belongs to a main angel on broadway) lovely interview with the (olivier award winning) costume designer Greg Barnes and some of his original sketches here www.playbill.com/article/photo-special-gregg-barnes-costume-sketches-for-broadways-kinky-boots-com-205237 so how does that add to more than 10? - I used to think that "look = face +outfit" and you are getting more than 10 combinations of these

I can't sleep at the moment, so I took a lot of time to watch a tonne of videos.
Everybody Say Yeah is unequivocally the worst song in the show, there are no words.
Killian vs Stark, I'm not sure but Stark does a generic accent whereas Killian attempts a regional one, so for me Killian wins. He also puts much more emotion into the videos I've seen.
Matt vs Billy. It's really hard to call.

I"m not from that part of the world so I wouldn't know, but do people think Killian and Amy's accents are convincing and authentic?

I've only seen a video of Stark so maybe it's not a proper thing to compare him and Killian. But for me Stark's Charlie was more convincing. He had more " proper" emotional line and just has a better look (my taste only). Same thing about comparing emotions and acting Happens for me with Paul Ayres. Maybe he doesn't look like a prince from my dreams but his Charlies is much more real and convincing and believable, even with sometimes cringeworthy lines he has to deliver.

I don't know if anyone owns the Brochure for the show, but it features amazing never released production photos from the show, but one of my favourite parts is, and I don't know if everyone was aware, each of the Angels has their own individual finale costumes, even the swings and understudy Angels. So even though we only see 6 nightly, there are actually 10 different Angel looks for the finale that each different Angel wears dependant of when they go on! Really amazing costumes too It is not only finale outfits. Each boy has their completely own identity. (makeup, hair, costumes) and the swings and many more different wigs and costumes depending on the track they have to cover

Anyone hear Matt and Killian on Radio 2 yesterday, around 12.30? Michael Ball has moved to Terry Wogans morning spot. Both Killian and Matt sang live with piano accompaniment. Killian did a great version of Soul Of A Man, Matt did Not My Fathers Son. All 3 chatted about Cyndi Lauper and her balloon vocal lessons.
Michael Ball had seen the show last Friday and loved it (and went on about the red boots he wore at the Oliviers). Matt and Killian told how they had agreed that, if the other won the Olivier Award, they would dedicate it to "their leading man".

Looking to book for May to see Kinky Boots and noticed from the website that Matt Henry is off during that period. Anyone know what his understudy is like? Ive seen the show with Matt but the family i'm taking would be none the wiser if he was not performing.

Callum Francis is stunning in this role, so much so that i'm going to book again specifically when he is due on as Lola. You won't regret it if he is performing on the night you go.

I FINALLY got Kinky last night!
I am a MASSIVE Cyndi Lauper fan (always have been ever since she wanted to have fun all this yeas ago) and so watery intrigued by this show, immediately sining up as a Facebook fan with the free download of The Sex is in the Heel.
I also have the Broadway cast recording and was outside the theatre on opening night.
A friend was from Australia was in town so I went with her last night and her sister who lives here.
I had also seen the film so knowing the storyline and the music I was good to finally see the visual.
This was a great, fun show. Callum Francis was on a Lola.
All the cast were working really hard and at one point when Charlie's friend and two other guys were playing the guitar in the bar, I couldn't help but feel that it had a Once feel about it.
I am in no way a fan of drag, but these guys were good. Extremely so. The dancing and way the whole cast, including the ensemble thew themselves into their performances certainly won the audience over with people clapping and giving a standing ovation.
I am so pleased to have finally see this.

I saw Callum on as Lola too and thought he was brilliant. My only thought was as he was so very pretty & feminine it took a bit of the bite out of his story being a boxer & my fathers son for me. I like Matts masculinity and rawness in those moments. But that's only a small thing he really does bring his own thing to the role. I love it when Understudies are able to do that rather than have to be as close to the person they cover as possible!
