Okay what has it got to do with FreindsFest? And they only way they can "hit your inbox" is if you've signed up to it and there has been no MG sign up yet? Why is this ad not appearing anywhere else either? Very strange. I would guess there is no link to friendsfest other than targeted advertising. I get plenty of random adverts for stuff I've not signed up to on emails relaying to stuff I have

OMGay! I hope it's true, The film is of course magnificent but the musical is simply glorious and 'Stop!' brings the house down. If I was but 2 years younger I'd be in the audition line to play Damian who (along with Jamie in 'Everybody's....') is another positive gay character that the people of London's glitzy West End need.
Good work, ladies, let’s take a break. A-five-six-seven-eight!

we will never replace 42nd Street. There is no way the level of love for this show will meet that. 😂😂 remember how iconic that final show was for so many? And how sad we all were it closed? I suspect this will be a fangirl show, not a universal board love show. But you are a stereotypical fangirl Mr Johnson!! I'm talking following cast members home, stage dooring at all hours if the day, pretending cast members are friends, throwing cupcakes on stage, pressing ears onto walls to hear backstage... you know, Heathers/Jamie/Wicked type fans. 😂

I'm still unsure this is what it seems. Could it maybe just be some Mean Girls event the makers of Friends Fest are putting on? Is it related to Broadway and not here?
I'm not sure, but something doesn't seem quite right about this to me. Again so far this ad appears to have not been distributed anywhere else and we aren't getting any other hints.
I'll happily be proved wrong and hope we do get an announcement about a transfer.

So this turned out to just be a film screening with some added extras. "The General Admission ticket gives you access to Mean Girls: The Movie and More, with photo opportunities of key moments from the movie before and after the screening, a seat to watch the screening from, and the Spring Fling continues after the movie ends!"

I think this will go to the Piccadilly or the Savoy which is the perfect theatre for it. it will open for previews 2nd October on a Wednesday with an opening night for sometime in November. And they will do a ticket deal for anyone who wears pink on a Wednesday just like they do on broadway. And £20 day seats. If they open around this time my matinee is sorted for my 2 show day in November . This show is so fetch I love it 😊 my mum loved it aswell ☺️ when we saw it on Broadway. I'd make alternative arrangements for that two show day in November!

Do we think that the reason Mean Girls is rumoured to be going for a 2020 transfer to the West End is because Sonia Friedman wants to avoid it going against Dear Evan Hansen, given it’s huge Tonys success? Mary Poppins will also be v high profile when it opens too this year.

Mary Poppins will also be v high profile when it opens too this year. It's possible, but Olivier Awards do not translate into success/sales as much as the Tony Awards do. Mean Girls will do fine without any awards love. I think a lot of it will depend on the availability of Casey Nicholaw.

December 2020 at the Savoy according to our very reliable forum source mrb.
Any dream casting? I know Erika has said she hopes to do the London production.

Another film I’ve never seen. What’s it about, and is this another show that’s aimed at the teenage market?

Pretty surprised about the positivity about the show here. It’s a fun show, but not very good by any stretch- to me, at least. I’m interested to see the casting for this, though.

It's a show for the tweens that scream along to every performance, like Heathers and Wicked.

She who shall not be named, was too old to be a student in Heathers, let alone as a student in 2020.
So quite probably!

Sunday in the Park ends in September 2020 so there's going to be a bit of gap if Mean Girls opens in December 2020, unless it's previewing in November, either that or the Savoy is getting a refurb between shows.
