I'm still a little confused, so apologies for this, but the full show opens in September right? Then this concert show will close? Correct!

I just saw the casting and assumed it was going to be Boe and Ball again.
The cast would be fine in the staged show, but no way are they good enough for an “all star concert”.

They're just calling it "The Staged Concert" this time around I think. Reminds me of this; "They called me Kid Gorgeous. Later on, it was Kid Presentable. Then Kid Gruesome. And finally, Kid Moe.". The next iteration will be called "The Concert", before finally, "A Thing".

To be fair, they dropped the "All Star Concert" tagline very early on after the initial announcements in 2019, and quite a bit before the first run at the Gielgud even opened. I think it's only this thread that still carries that title. The production, and cinema/DVD release, are advertised as "The Staged Concert".

Seeing the official cast photos released today- they all look awfully young! Lol!!! I know what you mean... We were visiting our sons new school a couple of weeks back and got a bit lost outside the grounds. Asked some young lads for direction enquiring if they were students too (thinking sixth form students) and they replied, “No we’re staff..!” Felt VERY old that day....

Oh good, at least they've put the cast absences up now. Looks like I'll miss Jamie for what would have been my first performance in the first week of June, but I caved and bought a single in the dress for next Friday because I can't wait that long.

This needs some tv exposure ideally or nobody will know its back. If only there were a daily magazine show they could sell themselves on.

Just seen Lucie singing - will tune into The One Show, looking forward to it. Was not a fan of her Cosette but she has come on a lot (not patronising)

Just watched the One Show performance. Absolutely ghastly! Obviously they don't do the mashup arrangement (I hope!) but do they actually over-sing like that in the concert, with the grace notes and unnecessary screeching?
I think I'll stick with the Tenth Anniversary Concert...

I found that somewhat underwhelming too. I didn't like the riffing and for the first time One Day More did absolutely nothing for me. What a shame.

Ugh, there should be absolutely no riffing in Les Mis.
But it has been slowly going that way for a few years now. Lots of recent Eponines have put riffs in On My Own...

I rather enjoyed it, though it was a funny cut/edit at the end if you watch it again...

I bet Cameron is now insisting it’s called ‘Cameron Mackintoshes ..’
