I thought that, same with Paul, but I can't see them listed on the qdos site. And it wouldn't be the first time names are moved around venues.

Just booked for when my Mum's here at Christmas. Trying not to get hopes too high regarding casting.

Guys I'm really stuck!
We usually go to see the Wimbledon pantomime very year and this year it's Dick Whittindon. However, my mum suggested we see Cinderella this year at the Paladium.
I said wait until star casting is announced but the Wimbledon panto don't announce theirs until like October so we can't wait that long.
Do you think the palladium one will be better and have a better cast? It's probably only a one off panto and won't happen again next year??

Definately go for the Palladium. It might me a one off panto there if they get a long running musical in there again and it is going to be a brand new production (sets, costumes etc.) which will subsequently tour regionally for QDOS at Christmas. The casting I am sure will not be a disappointment and will be announced before Wimbeldon I am sure who always announce very late. I have already booked.

Just looked at the ticket prices. I know they are pretty standard West End prices nowadays but still...YIKES! I remember about 10 years ago you could the best seats for the Birmingham pantos didn't even reach £30! (Which of course have gradually crept up since to £47 for Dick Whittington this year!). But still, the West End is the West End and I'm sure Qdos will deliver something good. And if it is the cast as mentioned above, then Julian Clary and Paul Zerdin definitely will! I can't speak for Lee Mead as I haven't seen him in panto before, and I only saw Paul O'Grady as the Childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.Paul O'Grady as Lily Savage as the Wicked Queen in 'Snow White & The Seven Dwarves' at the Bristol Hippodrome many years ago is still one of my favourite theatre memories. She was hilarious. Also, Lily Savage as Miss Hannigan in 'Annie' was another stroke of genius.

I've only ever seen large-scale Qdos pantomimes directed/written by Michael Harrison (as the Palladium will be) and I have to say, each one has been breathtakingly good. I can't speak for Qdos' smaller shows or other directors, but I think this one will set the bar for panto standards.

Why did they change it from Snow White

Why did they change it from Snow White We're not sure. However, Bristol and Woking were intended to be Peter Pan but they have changed, maybe they scrapped Peter Pan? Wouldn't surprise me as its my least favourite panto. Woking is now Snow White instead

Seem to remember reading that their female star was no longer available (leading to speculation in some quarters that she'd defected to the Palladium).

CG is right that Wimbledon changed due to a star (didn't say in the letter M or F, assume F) couldn't be contracted. Wonder if the Bristol and Woking "Peter Pan" planned to use that disaster of a script the Wimbledon premiered last season? If so, lucky escape for all in those places... We love the Wimbledon pantomimes but I didn't like Peter Pan as much last year, but then again I don't like the Peter Pan pantomime. Is is that true about why they cut Snow White from Wimbledon? Where did you read that?? Wonder who it was..

Some adults don't understand blue material! Years ago I was at a comedy charity thing hosted by Liz Dawn which had Vince 'Ron Dixon from Brookside' Earl on the bill with some very questionable material, and a sweet old lady next to me kept asking me not just to repeat what he said but also explain it. It was a very long joke something to do with a snooker table and a potential male rape, if I remember correctly ...

I actually quite liked the panto at Wimbledon, I think that's because I liked Marcus Brigstocke so much. It was far better than the horrendous Richmond panto last year. Word's can't describe how bad that was.

Word's can't describe how bad that was. I didn't like Marcus Brigstoke in the pantomime but then again i think Peter Pan is quite weak. No dame, not much of a story etc. Also, I think that Verne Troyer was cast for the sake of it as he's from Hollywood. I wouldve thought that Richmond was very good. It's the same production as the Wimbledon one in 2014 and that was one of my favourite, I thought Matthew Kelly and Matthew Rixon were great ugly sisters!!

Sure, Verne's not the best actor in the world, but he's got such a personality! I would've been happy if the whole show had just been the pirates and they'd cut out Peter Pan. Panto's are usually enjoyable for all, I wouldn't of found Cinderella amusing even at the age of 6. Would never go to a Richmond panto again. Matthew Rixon was quite good, but I found that Matthew Kelly was awful.

Dad just booked for this. Gone for the top seats in the Dress circle. Cant wait for the cast. I wonder if they will be alternates as there is 10-12 performances a week. I cant imagine truly big names doing that many shows. If French and Saunders are being considered for the Ugly Sisters will the step Mum be the drag character. Biggins could do that.

As a side I noticed the only celebrity followed by the official account is Biggins. While Jullian Clary and Joe Tracini( Joe Pasquale son) are following the account

I really think Biggins, Joe Tracini and Julian Clary will be a shoo-in for this. RE: earlier rumour of Paul Zerdin, he's unavailable owing to his Vegas residency. Also, Tracini and Clary did Cinderella together last year and QDOS seem to keep certain cast members with a particular production for a couple of years.

Zerdin has already said he's doing panto this year so I think he'll definitely be in this. Last year Julian Clary did Aladdin - Cinderella with Joe Tracini was the year before.

Paul Zerdin confirmed on Steve Wrights afternoon show on the 21st March that he was 'coming back to London' to do Panto this year - his residency has a break over the Xmas/New Year period
