Why would this tour if Kenwright's Joseph is touring. Competing against each other? ? Or will it just be touring like it has been forever. Seems very odd to be going on tour. So when the last Palladium version toured in the 90s, the Kenwright version was suspended (think RUG can request this). It was marketed as a different version, had incredible production values and sold out long runs at the massive touring houses. So there was absolutely the audience for it. Was in my opinion one of the best ever touring musicals, atmosphere was electric. After it finished, the Kenwright version started up again and continued as normal. Don’t think it needs big audiences to turn a profit.

I hear it’s going to the Adelphi for a Christmas run before touring. They don’t want to waste the money it cost to build the set I hear you are talking rubbish. 1. It’s NOT moving to the Adelphi 2. The cost of reducing the set to fit the Adelphi from the Palladium is considerable- it’s much smaller 3. A lot of the Palladium set is existing set they are reusing from the panto they did last Xmas there - floor, portals etc. 4. It’s not going to the Adelphi.

I that case it will surely return for another Palladium run like Cats did. Has sold incredibly well and will be almost a sell out when the time comes.

Isn’t it a bit odd that we still don’t have a Jacob or either of the Potiphars? Maybe they’re trying to secure names? Or various performers doing it on rotation like they have going on in Sweet Charity?

why are most of the male cast members just referred to as Brother? They do have individual names!

Theatre producers everywhere must hate authors who write shows such as
7 Brides for 7 Brothers (why not 2 Brides for 2 Brothers?)
Snow White and the 3 Dwarfs (2 if it's a Bill Kenwright show).
2 Guys Named Mo.
The Witch of Eastwick
The Pirate of Penzance.

Anybody know whos directing this designing this lighting this? Brand new production? Nothing on the LWwebsite. The revival production is directed by Laurence Connor (School of Rock, Miss Saigon), with choreography from JoAnn M Hunter, design from Morgan Large, lighting from Ben Cracknell and sound from Gareth Owen. Casting is by Stuart Burt with children's casting by Joanne Hawes. From the WhatsOnStage casting announcement.
