No doubt xanady will be snapping up three tickets, as it's so close to home! 😉 This cracked me up.

^Cracked me up too...a damn sight more than the show did 😂 Yes,Dr Tom,according to the local rag(Brum Mail),people queued for four hours in the pouring rain to get these £15 tickets at the BO for the preview at the Hippo...wtf? Must be some super-fans who are really devoted to this.Who knew?
Btw,49th and 8th,if you are indeed a proofreader, shouldn’t it be ‘was just’ rather than ‘just was’...perhaps?

This isn't directed at you xanady but this has reminded me of what I really, really hate about the internet and opinions now. It's not just “I don't like this thing”, “oh, I like this thing” anymore. It's “I don't like this thing.....and because of that, everyone who does like this thing is obviously either mad or inferior” - and vice-versa of course. Just an observation!

^ Like I said, it was in no way directed at you (I really enjoy your posts on this board), it applies to those who love things too and I’ve definitely been guilty of it - just if there are any ways to make the internet a nicer place then let's do it! Your reply obviously demonstrates what a nice person you are anyway so I’m preaching to the choir but who knows who might see it 😁

theatremadness, sincerely, you are a real voice of reason on the site.I did not take your post as directed at me.I am my own worst enemy sometimes,I admit and will avoid any references to BOM again...promise! Thank you for your thoughtful and sensitive comments and yes,the internet does need to be a kinder place for everyone.Kind regards to you and I totally agree with everything you said👍

I can think of at least four shows I've seen on of off-Broadway in the past few years that I either hated or didn't like and that have enthusiastic, vocal fanbases.
Why would I go into a thread (or a hashtag) about it and talk about how much I didn't enjoy it, much less talk about how I don't understand why they do what they do with their friends concerning this show? Who cares? It makes them happy and it's not for me. Two things can be true and the third thing, being a jerk, doesn't have to happen.

Trying to decipher your post,49th and 8th which I am taking as another personal dig at me and that’s fine if that’s your thing. 1.After I had VERY clearly withdrawn from discussing BOM,Tall Paul chose to tag me back into this BOM thread with a joke.As pianowithsam then responded as well,I felt that I could re-join the conversation but seemingly not it seems in your eyes. The comments about people queuing in the rain were a mere observation and nothing more was intended. 2.If we are not able to criticise shows at all on a discussion forum then TB becomes only a trite navel-gazing fan-club of sorts and nothing else. 3.In response to your quotation which I found to be very patronising.....I love what I think is good theatre and I hate what I think is bad theatre.Just my opinion. My sense of humour IS very dark and I can only apologise for that and rein it in.
At the moment,I feel that posting comments and then spending days justifying them is causing me VERY severe mental stress and anxiety.

People have different tolerances, humour & ‘things’ that they just don’t joke about. I recently offended someone greatly by joking about something that they don’t. Being respectful of the fact that everyone is different is much more important than talking about it. Just do it in your everyday life, not ‘to be seen’ doing it. That’s certainly the lesson I have learnt.

I accept it's all my fault, and I apologise. Please, let's all be friends, and agree to disagree, like friends did pre June 2016.
Have I ever mentioned that Wicked didn't do anything for me?

Trying to decipher your post,49th and 8th which I am taking as another personal dig at me I can't stop you feeling how you feel, but it wasn't. It's something I've thought for years and it's all about knowing when it's appropriate to express one's apathy or dislike for something someone else in your proximity loves.

I grabbed some of the £15 tix and saw this tonight at the hippodrome with my whole family (including grandma) - and they all loved it. In fact the whole audience seemed to have a fantastic time.
Was very impressed with the whole cast and especially interested to later discover the actor we saw as Elder Price was the 2nd cover!
I saw BoM a couple of times in the West End so really enjoyed returning to it now.

Can't wait for it to come to Dublin, I assume its coming for the Dec-Jan qChristmas period like most of the other big name musicals.

I also went last night with a group of family and friends, all dotted around the theatre, slotted in to where we could get tickets - what a bargain for £15.00 and such an amazing audience response. I've only seen the show once before in London (about 4 years ago) and have been meaning to get back but never quite managed so was really chuffed that they offered preview tickets online. Really wouldn't have known that we were seeing a second cover for Elder Price, he did a great job! They've announced today that they are doing £15.00 lottery tickets for the rest of the Birmingham run, but you need to get your lottery applications in before 12noon tomorrow - thebookofmormonmusical.com/birminghamlottery/

So, the first venue of the tour has opening night tomorrow. Very curious to hear about the changes to the show.
Anybody seeing the tour before it opens up again in London?

I’ll be heading home at some point in the next few weeks to see the Cardiff run but I’ve only seen the show once before and that was in early 2018 so I won’t be able to remember what was different to be honest!

Saw this tonight. So good to be back at the WMC. The show is in such a great shape and it has a really strong cast. Saw in in London a couple of years ago and I would say tonight was the stronger show.
Full audience who all seemed to have a great time. Standing ovation was well earned I would say.
No programme - just a free paper booklet with cast info - is this new or will programmes be making a return?
