Interesting. Thanks! Most of the press quotes used in advertising are from the American press. That kind of puts me off. Just looked back and it received a smattering of 3s and 4s over here. One of the best shows I've ever seen, totally OTT, extremely funny in a childish South Park way, seen it twice in London and booked for Manchester (£80 with booking fee...ouch)

That reminds me of the current tour of Wicked stopping at Zurich beforehand. I'd say it's economically best to have the tour production there to save on building an extra set and rehearsing a whole new cast. And it's a very well-known show so I wouldn't be surprised if they threw in a couple more European dates such as Paris, Madrid, Zurich etc. It won't do Madrid. Spain has a long history of mounting it's own Spanish-language productions, rather than receive English versions as part of an international tour. Incidentally, Stage Entertainment España have today released a casting call for a new production of an international musical that will premier in Madrid (I'm assuming to replace The Lion King or Anastasia next season). Based on the requirements of each role they're casting, looks like it will be Wicked.

Just read it @ali, yeah, I'd say it's Wicked too. I wonder if Danna Paola will reprise her Elphaba (she did it in Mexico), now that she's popular here.

Probably Edinburgh Playhouse in 2020, but I think it’ll maybe do Glasgow and Aberdeen too.

Still no other dates advertised which surprises me! Doesn't Manchester and Amsterdam have them covered for quite some time? If they use the London model, they only announce for a short time ahead.

There’s nothing advertised at mancheater palace in august, so it could extend again, then just go straight to Amsterdam.

If it follows recent patterns, this might mean it will move from Zürich to Cologne then. The UK-Tour of Miss Saigon also played exclusively in Zürich and Cologne. And it seems, mercifully, that Stage Entertainment haven't got their mitts on this show to ruin it like they ruin most everything in Germany. So perhaps don't hold your breath for the Mormons to visit other cities in the UK... producers are realizing there's money to be made from these international tours.

WMC don’t have a big enough gap until summer 2020, which might fit it going away to Europe and coming back again - of course they have got things lined up that aren’t on their website yet, but whether this is one from say May or June after WWRY goes is anyone’s guess...seems like the kind of venue they’d do a lengthy run at though.

Looks like Sunderland is the only date announced. Happy for the folks this is close to, but really want a Cardiff date announced soon!

Haha. A six-week run at Stornoway Community Hall. Typical sneery little Englander comment. We have appropriate facilities on the Western Isles.

Well, damn. Got my email to say booking for Sunderland is tomorrow. With Dear Evan Hansen tickets today, this is going to be an expensive week!

Yes, especially as Sunderland is notorious for a lack of reasonably priced tickets.

I have a feeling that it'll be similar to Wicked pricing. My booking process for Wicked involved: *click* *click* "Oh, sod OFF!" *close window*
