Speaking of that ATG nibble box, pre ordering them online is a total ripoff. £15 online compared to £6.50 in the theatre, for the exact same contents. I’d expect a three course hot dinner for £15. I’ll just carry on taking my extra big bag of crisps and a tub of very smelly Doritos Salsa dispensed into a Tupperware pot for dipping. #theycantstopyou

I haven't booked this yet but still hope to see it if the price is right.
Can someone please explain how TodayTix Rush Tickets work work ? I don't have a current smartphone or use Facebook though i did register there years ago. Can I purchase a Rush ticket and just print it from my PC?

Select London and then MoLM. You'll need to unlock rush tickets in advance. Todaytix will want you to share, but it's perfectly simple to unlock without sharing. I don't remember printing at home being an option, just COBO, which is what I always prefer anyway. Bound to have forgotten something. Sorry!

I could be totally wrong and it's changed but I believe rush tickets can only be purchased via the app, normal non-rush tickets can be purchased on their website.

Yes, I'm afraid I'm a complete idiot, but I think that was already a truth universally acknowledged.
It is possible to create an account on the Todaytix website, and do various other things, but buying rush tickets doesn't indeed seem possible.
Sorry...again! By trying to be helpful, I was anything but. 🙂

You can enter lotteries on a PC, but can't access rush tickets without a smartphone/tablet.

You can always ask someone with a smartphone to do it for you and then transfer the ticket to your name. No need for printing, you just collect it from the box office.

Thanks. Doesn't look like I can buy rush tickets then. Had a look at the website but my phone uses an old Windows system and isn't compatible with most apps. I only use it to make the occasional call send texts and check train delays !

At the risk of sending you down a blind alley again, there may be a 'hack'.
I've not done it myself, yet, cos I'd never thought of it before this afternoon, but it seems relatively easy to download an app emulator to your PC.
Have a Google!

Saw this earlier this week. Great show. The whole audience loved it. Standing ovation. Accept the story for what it is. Enjoy the music. Interesting set. Don’t trust those who give it only two stars. I give it 4.

I'm more likely to trust a 2* review from someone who has an established presence on a discussion board and has shared their honest and frank opinions about a wide array of productions, thus enabling me to work out how much I personally value their 2* conclusion, than a 4* review from someone who tells me that other people's opinions are inherently untrustworthy just because this someone said so.

I give it 4. "Standing ovation." I note that it is a show that attracts selfish people ready to deny those behind sight of the finale and bows.

I enjoyed it in the week. Bonkers story! I went to see Cassidy Janson, and thought she was the best thing in it! Has anyone seen her and Danielle to compare?

Dress circle front section £75 (£80 Saturday) seats down to £39.50 (£42 Saturday) all performances to 8th June with code MOLM2019. Usual £2.25 per ticket booking fee applies. Yes, much better pricing, but is it too little too late? Still huge availability and after the poor reviews I don't think it will do much for sales. It would have been better to charge sensible prices to start with and get a good advance and then it would have been critic proof!

Not always very high value in terms of ticket yield or donations

24 hour offer on todaytix - dress circle for £25 or upper circle for £15, looks like this is available for all dates for the rest of the run. You'll probably get better seats through the daily rush but a good offer if you need to book in advance! Based on @theatremonkey's post if you go midweek you might be better booking a £15 upper circle seat and hope for an upgrade

I've booked on a cheapo deal for next week, I figure if I enjoy the orchestra I'll have had my monies worth.

Its disappointing to see so many people jumping on the bandwagon to badmouth the show particularly as this is a board for theatre lovers and many contributors haven't seen it. It's a bit of a museum piece but you can't fault the orchestra, Danielle de Niese, Peter Polycarpou and Rodney. Kelsey Grammer is an icon and from the perspective of iconography I can see why he was cast. Cervantes/Quijote have the same superior, pompous and slightly deluded qualities as Frasier and though he's not a great singer, he has enormous stage presence. At £75 a seat it's a bit meh but for £15 it's an absolute steal to see an acting icon, top quality opera singer and a historic show that (given how much the producers will have lost on this production) we won't see again in London for a generation.

Love is...I am working on the Janson press night so my partner, who hates writing but also hates paying for things, is reviewing for the blog. He likes Kelsey, he used to see Lyndhurst in the Co-Op he used to work in on the south coast. I am looking forward to hearing about it, at least Cassidy Janson can act and sing...

Ooooh, calibrate!!!

Fair point theatremonkey, I've posted negative comments on things I didn't enjoy on this site. My reference to badmouthing was aimed at earlier posters who seemed to want this this to fail before it even opened followed by a lot of naysayers who've never seen it.

I have been peculiarly negative about this project from the outset, not necessarily due to it being a bad show, but because the bad producing was so spectacularly evident from the outset.
Lazy and/ or presumptuous producing brings all theatre into disrepute and this show has reeked of vanity and self-delusion from the outset. The wrong-headedness of the whole affair has only been confirmed by the misfire of a performance that has been disappointing to a large number of reviewers and audience members.
Of course we want epic, star-filled, wonderful shows in the West End! Hooray for the large and small wonders of the West End, from Six to Matilda to Follies to Ute Lemper's Dietrich cabaret!
But mis-cast, poorly advertised, over-priced turkeys deserve everything they get.
