To be fair though, the reason she might not be doing musicals (like Kinky Boots or any other musical that is long running) could be because Danny Mac is doing Strictly over Xmas so she's gonna be there each Saturday cheering him on?

The problem is that if you cast anyone young or remotely glamorous as one of the WI ladies who disrobe, the tone of the show will change. I don't think it would be a good idea.

The response to the tweet announcing that has replies varying from 'will this be on sale to the public', 'Is this opening night', and 'will Gary be there' suggest that the early performances will definitely be made up by the Gary fan club, an audience who understands a pop concert but not necessarily theatre etiquette, and similarly are going in hope of seeing Gary rather than the show. Having seen that I'm now quite tempted to wait a bit to see the show, in hope that the audience may be slightly more reserved.

I hope people don't just go in hope of catching a glimpse of Gary Barlow and go for the show instead, especially as they're putting lots of effort into the show!! I think later on in the run it will be more reserved with WI ladies and people for the show rather than people for Gary.

The Gary fan club will be going for him alone, although they will claim they love the show and will return numerous times etc. etc.
They will also be descending on the stage door, whether going to the show or not. I am friends with many Take That fans and scenes at the Lowry stage door were often crazy!

I am friends with many Take That fans and scenes at the Lowry stage door were often crazy! They'll be descending on stage door waiting for Gary. I expect nightly tweets asking if Gary is there. I hope this does not take away the sense of accomplishment for the cast, feeling that they are just in the shadows.

The Box Office at the theatre opens at 12 Friday for tickets with the original calendar girls serving victoria sponge. I think that's a really nice touch of them to do this at the box office

For some unknown reason, the See Groups department have just sent me a flyer for this - with a packet of seeds attached. Am I the victim of a random Alan Titchmarsh fan, making a clever pun about the show's content? Otherwise, I kinda fail to see much connection? Thought it was all about baked goods and kitchen implements being put to unusual uses as camouflage? Maybe coz they know you have some clout they are hoping u will help their audience to grow? DONT TM, we have to stamp out GB before theatre goes to his tax evading head

They plant them in memory of the husband who dies of leukemia.

They'll probably lure unsuspecting punters in too, who don't know the show but fancy some free cake then feel too guilty to not buy a ticket.

If you see a random patch of sunflowers on a landfill near Manchester some time, that'll be me.

Ah.... it's not choreography. It's musical staging.
How to walk across the stage to music.

I saw some info regarding casting that was now taken down. Joanna Riding is reprising her role and other casting includes Michele Dotrice and Claire Moore. I cant remember the others as there was quite a list.

Michele Dotrice will be in this at the Phoenix. She's been doing quite a bit of theatre lately, great to see.
