So glad that I finally got round to seeing 9 to 5. It’s a thoroughly feel good show with great performances from all. Natalie, Amber and Louise really own the show, as they should, and Bonnie and Brian are both superb. No wonder the show is doing so well. I’ll be back again that’s for sure!

Will there be a cast change at the end of August or will everyone extend ? I wonder if Amber and Natalie will stay?

I am not sure that it counts as a hit to extend to just over a year.
It has done better than the source material deserves. I know there are people who love it but I saw no value at all in it when I reviewed it many years ago.
It is doing ok. Can't take that away from it. But it is not close to a hit.
If it gets to a 3rd birthday, maybe. But I can't see that happening.

I guess it's just a filler extension until something comes in next year. I can't imagine there won't be something more attractive to ATG than 9 to 5 wanting the theatre next year. I'd even imagine something is a done deal.

Maybe, but will it still be by April? With a tour on the go too. I expect something else to be going in after April 2020.

I agree it probably won't go past April, in which case a run of a year and two months is amazing considering it wasn't particularly expected to sell as well as it has. I suspect Bonnie and Natalie will stay, as for the others I'm not sure.

Brian Conley is booked to do his lucrative panto stint (in Plymouth) again from mid Dec to mid Jan '20. Leading WE roles don't come up that often (and no TV work) so he may just take a break from the show over Christmas and return mid Jan?

I did hear a rumour that a certain Ms Sheen may be returning to the West End later this year, as a previously injury-stricken performer might take the show on tour...

I know some of us love a cheeky Sunday matinee, and I've just looked at their Christmas schedule, December 29th there is a matinee for anyone in London.

Good for 9 to 5, it was an enjoyable night at the theatre and has done really well. Makes total sense to extend! 🙌

Had some fun seeing the matinee on Saturday with my mum visiting for the weekend. We saw Emilia in the eve and it would probably have worked better to have seen them the other way round as we were thoroughly hammered by the time Emilia started...
Fairly poor performance from Louise Redknapp. Amber Davies was ok in my opinion but her delivery of ‘Get Out and Stay Out’ wasn’t too my taste although certainly spirited! Natalie McQueen gave the best performance in my opinion and although the accent was comical it worked to that effect.
Bonnie Langford still has it and really commands the stage (unsurprisingly) and steals the show whenever she’s on.
Brian Conley seemed to have a lot of fans in. I’m not really one but he was fine in the role.
I thought this cast and production weren’t as strong as the UK tour a few years back but it’s still a fun afternoon out.
We got great stalls rush seats...if I’d payed more I’d have felt really ripped off!
It all felt a bit Kenwright tour quality and I’m surprised Dolly actually produced it. Wait. I’m not. She’ll be making a fortune!

Really enjoyed this last night, lots of fun. Enjoyed all 3 leads but thought Bonnie Langford stole the show.
Got the ATG Theatre Card offer for £75 which included a mini bottle of Moet, chocolates and dress circle box seats. They are slightly restricted to stage left but we didn't miss anything significant. We also had a private seating area and bathroom outside the box which was great as I hate queueing!

Just seen Amber and Louise will be in this in Manchester (and, I assume, the whole tour?)
PS - still annoyed they haven't done a cast recording! This wouldn't happen on Broadway lol.

So looks like there will be some new casting for London....
Just seen the full announcement. Amber is going everywhere. Louise joins her in six cities. Caroline Sheen just Cardiff (as she's Welsh apparently) and Brian Conley just Milton Keynes (!).

Email re Sunderland dates just mentioned Louise. Does this mean we will also get Caroline? Fingers crossed, although she certainly deserves a mention in a casting email if that is the case!
