I have my ticket for August at the Eventim Apollo saved in my Apple wallet and I just got a notification from the wallet that the date on the ticket has been changed for the same day in 2021. Received an email shortly afterwards to say that they've broadly just pushed everything back a year. Not what I really wanted but no obvious option to get a refund, although I hope that would be possible by contacting them. Not sure I want to wait 16 months for a musical!

I have my ticket for August at the Eventim Apollo saved in my Apple wallet and I just got a notification from the wallet that the date on the ticket has been changed for the same day in 2021. No email though, and as I'd prefer to get a refund than wait 16 months for a musical, hopefully one is coming! This is the email that’s just come through: “Due to current government guidelines resulting in a delay to the production, the producers of Sister Act announced today that performances in London have now been rescheduled. Sister Act was due to open at the Eventim Apollo from 21 July 2020 to 30 August 2020. The London run at the Eventim Apollo is now rescheduled to open 20 July 2021, where it will play until 29 August 2021. Current ticketholders for the London run have been moved into the same seats for equivalent performances by day of week for the 2021 run. Patrons will be able to use their current ticket for performances next year. Performance times remain unchanged. As a ticket holder, you do not need to do anything. The new date for your booking is detailed below.”

I've just had the email to say that the production is delayed by twelve months and the ticket will be valid for the equivalent date next year (if you're booked on 4 August 2020, you'll attend on 3 August 2021 etc).

Glad this is still on, but surely they're asking for trouble by not reissuing tickets with the new dates on.

They’ve seemed to adopted the same method as many rescheduled music concerts and festivals are doing. Thing is it works well for a music concert where there is only one date you would be going to so don’t mind it getting rescheduled and can then organise around that new date. However, I don’t think it works as well for a month long of theatre. I’m sure people will still want to go but I’m sure a refund option must be available if you get in contact

I booked tickets for Nativity through an agency and when collecting from the box office got the most gruff demand for ID which was never mentioned as requirement by the agency. Not a nice theatre box office asking me for my address or the card I paid with, aggression. It rubbed me the wrong way and I bit. They made a big deal of the special printed tickets, which are only a photo of the theatre. Let’s hope they make a more special effort and send us tickets with Whoopi on or something when the dust settles and the new dates look definite.

We got carried away and booked Super Premium tickets through LOVEtheatre back in October. We have sort of regretted it, so we will be asking for a refund.

I can't attend next year so replied to my original confirmation e-mail asking for a refund. They've already replied saying it has been processed and will be refunded to my card within 14 days. Very efficient.

Very efficient. LOVEtheatre, on the other hand, will not process refunds until after the original Apollo run was planned to be completed.

Hmm. Aren't all the performance dates off by a day? The 20th June next year is on a Tuesday, not a Monday so surely that puts all dates off?

Any idea what’s happening with the tour?

I wonder if the box office will allow me to get a partial refund. I had 4 tickets booked for this year but only want to use 2 of them for next year. Time will tell I guess!

Not with the Apollo, but with a Lady Gaga concert that was rescheduled, the place I got the tickets from wouldn't let me cancel part of my order, so I ended up cancelling the whole lot and re-buying the amount I now needed. Managed to get slightly better seats too. They often take an all or nothing approach to cancellations.

I assume the whole tour is being put off till 2021. Mayflower was originally due to have the show in February 2021 but that has been postponed till September so I imagine they will be aiming to start April 2021!

An update - I booked through See tickets and less than 24 hours after responding to their initial request they have sorted it. Really pleased with the service.

Having said Eventim were quick to refund me, they did deduct £9 per ticket from the refunded amount. When I got my Evita refund I got the whole amount back. I mustn't really grumble considering the bigger picture but just shows how the two different companies dealt with the cancellations.

Maybe ask the question on twitter if you rebook will it be booking fee free as you’ve already paid it???

Just got an email from Eventim that it's been postponed again to 2022 and that Whoopi will no longer be in it. So shall be asking for a refund.

I was just trying to find this thread as had the same email. the price I paid was for Whoopi, always a a risk she won’t be on but surely loads of people will be cancelling knowing she definitely isn’t.

Just got an email from Eventim that it's been postponed again to 2022 and that Whoopi will no longer be in it. So shall be asking for a refund. I just saw this too. Very disappointing. I can only imagine that Whoopi is tied up indefinitely from 2022 as I don't know why they would schedule this without her otherwise. I'm considering whether to request a refund too given that I've seen it before and really was only booking for Whoopi as I can imagine many others were. I think they'll have trouble selling out the run on this basis but at least they have a loooong time to work on it...

I like the show and would definitely see it but not for the price I paid. I only 'very grudgingly' paid this much because of Whoopi and figuring it was paying this much or sitting somewhere in the sticks and being annoyed the whole time that I'm so far away as bargains for that will be unlikely. I am sure they will review their pricing nearer the time and I guess not having Whoopi will also save them a ton of cash as I am sure her fee would not have been little, so hopefully the whole thing will even itself out that way.

I was mainly going to see Whoopi so I’ve requested a refund.
Slightly O/T but it was one of the few tickets I had left, only 4000 Miles and Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker left now. 🙁

Also requested a refund - was basically sitting in the car park so I'll use that and get a better seat on tour.
If all the casting is out the window at the mo and we are starting from scratch, would love to see Beverley Knight play Delores at the Apollo.

I'd imagine Whoopi can't do it as she'll be tied up with Sister Act 3. It's a shame it's been postponed again but I don't think anyone could say they were surprised.

They’d be better off cancelling in Hammersmith without Whoopi, no way will they sell that barn without a name like hers.

I thought this last night whether it would be coming over as watched Whoopi on The View discuss #freeBritney
Real shame but what can you do? Intrigued as to the casting as the whole show was being geared towards Whoopi as in the ageing up of Delores.

Can they legally take 9 pounds fee? I have 40 tickets and want a refund! Anyone work in box office and know the legals?
