Do you know what Sadler's Wells is like for air con? I've definitely felt cold air blowing down on me before there but I don't remember how hot it was outside, and to be honest it was probably winter and they had the air con on by mistake. If I remember I'll let you know.

When I was there with all that glass it was like being in a greenhouse - absolutely baking. Then it must have been air conditioning in the winter! To be honest I've been there more in the winter than the summer as I usually watch Matthew Bourne stuff there.

Unfortunately the piece I want to see is only there on Friday & Saturday this coming week so I haven't got any weather leeway.
The only thing that is making me feel better about the weather forecast for the next week is that at least I don't have to go to Uzbekistan, where the temperature is topping out at 40 degrees. Two of my colleagues do. I'm feeling extremely sorry for them.

If you type 'Sadlers Wells air conditioning' into a search engine, numerous websites, including officiallondontheatre.com, confirm that the theatre is indeed air conditioned, as I would have expected from such a modern venue.
Of course everyone has their own opinion on the 'ideal' temperature. In my experience, it's the thing that causes the most office arguments. For a while, we even experimented with turning the air con off completely, but that caused even more arguments!

You don't think I go to work to actually work, do you? And when I arrive in one of my very stylish suits, I look so cool the temperature immediately drops several degrees. 😎

Thanks @theatremonkey
So muggy today I've spent the whole day feeling like I'm going to melt (including in the supposed-to-be-air-conditioned office).

Thanks to the warm weather, I can finally get some outside building work done to my house. A Buddleja plant has attacked my and my neighbour’s adjoining backyard walls, meaning a complete rebuild of both walls 😡.

It’s so refreshing going into a chilled theatre on a hot day (I’m the pale indoors type)
I’m at the Kiln for the first time tomorrow eve so hope they’ve got some nice air con!

Is anybody getting the promised heatwave? My weather app seems to have lost all control of itself in the last week or so ricocheting between temperatures of 33 and 23 for same day/hour. Threatening lightning and storms. Last night it was supposed to be raining throughout and the ground was barely damp. Yesterday I was allegedly mowing the lawn in 26 degrees but feeling a touch chilly. Things seem all over the place

Very muggy in London and no air. The city is not the place to be in hot weather with all the buildings giving off heat. Plus the air con in our office has broken down and none of the windows open. Lovely!!!

The grim north really is grim today! It's been pouring down all day, and far from easing, as Owain promised, it looks to be getting heavier. 🌧 Yet more fake news from the once respected BBC.

Looks as if it's going to rain here in Bexleyheath where I am on grandkids school run duty.

It rained a good chunk overnight and a little more this morning, but not enough to clear the mugginess. Just one proper storm, or at least commit to a good dry heat, I cannot take the constant dampness.

We've taken to calling it 'soupy', it's so humid in London at the moment.

Cambridge is still muggy but definitely cooler than this time yesterday. I'm hoping London will be bearable on Friday so I can get to the theatre. Cancelling Saturday's theatregoing plans though as 30 degrees is not my idea of bearable.

Please spare England from the German heatwave because as is well known, we grind to a complete halt here with slightly difficult weather! My sympathy to those of you baking in uncomfortable heat. It has been fairly vile today in London to be fair, I quite like the 'soupy' descriptor above, it felt at times like one of the legendary 'flying ant' days. My possibly broken weather app is now saying reasonable temperatures rest of week except a spike to 30 on Saturday

My possibly broken weather app is now saying reasonable temperatures rest of week except a spike to 30 on Saturday That's what the Met Office, whose website I am checking with considerable frequency at the moment, is also saying. I'm hoping it's correct (well, I'd rather the 30 degrees wasn't but at least only one day of it is survivable).

We've taken to calling it 'soupy', it's so humid in London at the moment. Exactly my preferred word for it. And it's a horrible gloopy grey soup. One of my favourite things about living in Inverness, even in the best sunny summer weather it never gets soupy or muggy. However I am in the soup this week for work so sympathise with those not enjoying it.

Claggier than a marathon runner’s jockstrap here. Not that I mind too much unless I am having to do stuff...like sleep! Oh for Tomaz the Schaff to announce a delicate spritzing.
