So I caved in!! I am going on Wednesday 9 November, went for the £29 seat in the end (Stalls K21).
Just shows that a good cast album can make you just need to have it booked, I was all prepared to hold out but just thought I want to see this (oddly not a fan of the film at all but then again same with 'Made in Dagenham' but adore it in it's musical form!!)

Are these Amazon tickets legit? I booked 2 of them but the confirmation email was so vague.. No seat numbers on it.(though I was told seat numbers when selecting) Bit odd. I've booked via Amazon before - no problems, but the documentation does leave a little to be desired!

If you print off the ticket the seat number is on it.

I thought Simon Lipkin would be perfect as Dewey Finn if Alex Brightman doesn't come over from New York. Now he's been announced for 'Guys And Dolls' I wonder what SOR casting will be...?

When is it guys and dolls closes? Currently booking until January 2017, though there's no guarantee/confirmation that Simon Lipkin is contracted until then, he will be the 3rd Nathan since the move to the Phoenix after all!

When is it guys and dolls closes? 29th October. So unless Simon Lipkin leaves at the beginning of August, I'd imagine would be just enough time to rehearse School of Rock. Besides I thought Nigel Lindsay was starring as Nathan Detroit? Guys and Dolls aside, they've probably already cast Dewey Finn and maybe even workshopping with him seeing as it's opening fairly soon now (compared to some new West End musicals).

When they announced Rebel Wilson, they also announced an extension into January 2017, and Nigel was only announced as starring for a month, for some reason! So yes, theoretically Simon could do SoR if he left with Rebel, but I agree that they've probably already cast him (if they're not bring Alex Brightman over) as they'll want him to be well prepared, and will also have to be in the finals of the kids auditions to get an idea of chemistry between everyone!

I for one am still hoping Nathan Amzi has a get out from Aladdin. He's funny and although featured in Aladdin slightly wasted. My guess is he took it for the Genie cover. Much better suited to Dewey, better rock singer by far and can play Guitar. Failing that K agree Alex Brightman does seem the logical option with time constraints.

Saw this on Broadway last night and absolutely loved it! I hope they bring Alex over for a bit because he's perfect as Dewey.

Strange pattern. Why Monday on Tuesday off?

Strange pattern. Why Monday on Tuesday off? I thought that strange too... But a day off is a day off for the actors, no matter what day I suppose?

Strange pattern. Why Monday on Tuesday off? Genuinely least popular day to go see a show. Hate to work on it though. Only even having a Tuesday off would be bloody annoying,

Monday are one of the best selling days. Tuesday the worst. It's a similar performance schedule to Mrs Henderson Presents. Shrek also had Tuesdays off.

School of Rock does have Monday night shows here. I'm guessing part of it is due to overnight school/drama group kid trips to NYC to see a show or two.

Just had an email that more seats have been released for School of Rock - looks like the front block (some of it anyway) is now on sale @ £69.50 for the dates I've looked at.

Hmmm, still not the front two rows. Possibly held for day seats, or maybe won't even be there - not sure whether to book now or keep waiting!

Had the same quandary - am sticking with my current, more distant early preview ticket for now and will add something else later when the full seating options are known!

I'm really hoping that there will be dayseats available for this one, as I can see myself wanting to see it a couple of times (given how much I enjoyed the cast album!) and don't mind the waiting around in the mornings.

Any rumours regarding the casting, especially the kids? Is it hard to find instrument playing kids?

I've been looking forward to hearing about casting since the transfer was officially announced. Hopefully they'll announce something soon.

Is it hard to find instrument playing kids? Not usually, but I had a friend who wanted to audition but he was too tall. Sadly a lot of casting directors set a maximum height for most shows.

I've been looking forward to hearing about casting since the transfer was officially announced. Hopefully they'll announce something soon. So am I. Previews start in roughly three months, so if not done already, they should at least be very close to casting the leads. If they asked me, I'd love to see either Nathan Amzi or Oliver Tompsett as Dewey and Rebecca Trehearn as Ms Mullens.

Rarely for me I have booked a couple of tickets early, but those £25 ones in the stalls were too irresistable. K68.

I've just noticed the row E circle seats I got for £15 in previews are top price now!
