I would imagine Daniel E and the Chichester team weren't best pleased with Matt Lucas tweeting about a transfer on 3rd September, because they clearly weren't / still aren't in a position to confirm.

I can't think where this could go, now that the Haymarket and Gielgud are booked up for the next few months. Dominion too big, Duke of York's and Garrick probably too small.

Yes, that's a possibility.

The only thing that makes me think it won't be Noel Coward is because obviously Cameron wants to refurb all his theatres, and this may be the last time he can do it for a few years should Dear Evan Hansen be a huge hit, which is a possibility.

They would be insane to transfer this terrible production.

They would be insane to transfer this terrible production. They really should have transferred Fiddler if anything.

They would be insane to transfer this terrible production. Well, Rip It Up has managed to make the leap so ya never know!

Could they take the set and used that for the basis of a new production? From the images, it looked impressive - even if it was let down by odd casting and lacklustre direction.

For me even the set was a let down. it's impressive in a way but they went for a realistic downton abbey feel and it doesn't really meet the mood of the musical. and setting 'you would if you could' in a bath was tacky

Matt Lucas was cringeworthy. I quite liked the Downton Abbey-feel of the set and the gorgeous costumes. Cast a new decent leading man who can carry the show, sing and dance and either revert the Parchester role back to a man or stick a female performer in reasonable clothes and I think it would do well as a limited run for some months.
