They need to finally announce the cast so that I can decide whether or not it's worth to fork out that much money to fly to Singapore. Haven't been there before, so that'd be a nice excuse (as if I needed one...) to visit the city. Assuming we have usual 30 day rehearsal process that'll be mid-June starting, so we can't actually be that far from an announcement I would have thought? I've got three trips pencilled in but waiting for casting before I book....

However, as Singapore is much further away and it's much more expensive to get there, I really need to know whom I'll (likely) be seeing before I decide to book.

Singapore is 29th September to 16th October 2016.
Wicked Manilla opens 2 February 2017.
No other stops announced yet but definitely hope for some European dates!

what tour stops will there be in Europe? Birmingham is rumoured for 2018. Not sure if Birmingham will still be in Europe after 23rd June 2016 though.

Still be physically in Europe regardless of referendum 2. Chances are we wouldn't have formally split from the EU by 2018 anyway So yup, it still will be

I think we may get the cast announcement either this Friday or Monday of next week (two typical days for Wicked announcements) as we already know it'll be this month as well as a user called "firefingers" posting a friend of his had been cast as one of the leads on the Wicked London page, exciting stuff!

Christine Dwyer and Kara Lindsay will open the Hannover Messe with "for good" - does this mean they are the leading pair of the international tour now?

Christine Dwyer and Kara Lindsay will open the Hannover Messe with "for good" - does this mean they are the leading pair of the international tour now? I wouldn't draw that conclusion solely based on them singing For Good in Hannover. However, if it were true, I'd have to try to squeeze another trip to Bradford in - and I'd so fly down to Singapore. I love Kara Lindsay, she's fantastic and the best Glinda I've ever seen. Bit indifferent about Christine Dwyer though. Seen her three times on Broadway and while she's actually pretty good, I'd have hoped for someone else.

The Innuendo Outuendo forum cited rumors of Amy Griffiths being cast as Glinda. Hmmm, I've never heard of her before, but I've apparently seen her in Stephen Ward. Anywho, she hasn't been with Wicked before so I'd be happy to see her And I've neither heard of that forum, too. How "bad" is it over there?

Oh I fully aware of that, but when somebody is rumoured to be taking a role, the first thing to establish is whether they are actually available, which Amy is. I'd never be daft enough to suggest that somebody is going to get a role because they're not in a job. If that was the case, you can put me down for tour Fiyero.

It seemed to me as if the rumour was solely based on the fact that Amy has just finished another role.

Oooh if it is Amy then that's exciting! She was fabulous in Chitty over xmas. And it'd just be exciting to see a totally new Glinda to be honest!

Exciting news for my friends daughter that's for sure. I know you can't tell us who it is, but can you tell us if it isn't Amy please? You wouldn't be giving any information away, and that should satisfy people that you're not trolling.

They seem to have a strange amount of time 3 or 4 weeks between stops - it almost seems too short to add venues in the gaps, and more than enough moving time. Makes me wonder if they're keeping weeks either side for potential extensions.

I guess they could squeeze a venue in between Singapore and Hong Kong and then leave a longer gap to get over to Manilla?!
Exciting though seeing it all coming together..... Casting news now and we'll on the final road to Bradford!

I wish Hong Kong was later. Never been there before either but I can't make it in December. Now can they please announce the cast so that I can decide whether or not to book Singapore?

Could the large gaps between venues potentially be simply for vocal and physical rest for the cast? The last tour shattered both lead Elphaba's, one standby and I know several of the other cast were totally exhausted from the tight schedule, Bradford doesn't even have a 9 show final week (which most of the UK Tour venues had!)
Also, I am beyond desperate for a casting announcement, since all the press Wicked UK has been giving it I am hoping we have it either this week or the first week of May, the anticipation is kill me!

i am so disappointed in this so - called "international tour" - after asking on Twitter "the fellow ozians" answered that there is only one UK stop and asian stops and no other european stop planned - that is no international tour for me, only an asian tour with a UK-start

We don't actually know any further stops than what has been announced, but there has been previous discussion on here that there's a stop in Birmingham planned (2018 perhaps?).
I'm definitely hoping for some European stops, Germany is a very easy sell to the other half... I'm not making much progress on Christmas in Hong Kong!

I'd guess it's room for extensions and so if props/costumes etc happened to go missing/delayed they have slight leeway to get back on track it's also worth keeping an eye on the 2016 Les Mis Asian tour, which is also going from Manila to Singapore, for ideas of possible venues if they decide to do another Asia stop my two penny at least, complete speculation

Makes me wonder if they're keeping weeks either side for potential extensions. I thnk that's for potential extensions. That's certainly been the norm for foreign touring shows that come to the Philippines. They start off announcing a 3- to 4-week run. As show dates come closer, they announce extensions for a week or two. During the show's run, they announce a couple more extensions.
