Nobody is in trouble, it is just that a press release was sent out too soon and withdrawn.
Please respect this board by not re-posting anything for the time being, and save moderators the time having to remove it. thank you all. Oopsie! Thanks for the clarification

Well I didn't see the deleted posts (and won't ask for comment) but hopefully this means details of what's next at the Aldwych are coming soon!

Great news for Bronte that she has got such a great role, she has the range to do the songs justice, she may need a crash course in piano playing though. When I saw the news on WOS and Amy Ellen Richardson's photo first I assumed she was Carole and Bronte would be Cynthia Weil not the other way round. I thought a few more of the London cast may have done tour although I don't know how many have done the full London run and may want a break. Good to see Adam Howden and Leigh Lothian both moving up cast from London run.
Does anyone know if Stephanie McKeon has anything else lined up as I would have thought she may have stayed on as Cynthia as she only took over from the now Yummy Mummy Lorna Want a couple of months back.

I was hoping Amy would be Carol too! How big a role is Cynthia - many songs?

Cynthia is my favourite role in the show - she gets most of the best lines in the show. In terms of songs, she sings in 4 songs.

I got this official email and it's now on what's on Stage - so it seems we can post it!
Paul Blake, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Mike Bosner in association with Michael Harrison are delighted to announce that Bronté Barbé will play ‘Carole King’ in the UK and Ireland tour of the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning BEAUTIFUL – THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. Bronté will be joined by Kane Oliver Parry as King’s husband and song-writing partner ‘Gerry Goffin’, Amy Ellen Richardson as song-writer ‘Cynthia Weil’, Matthew Gonsalves as song-writer ‘Barry Mann’, Carol Royle as King’s mother ‘Genie Klein’ and Adam Howden as music publisher and producer ‘Donnie Kirshner’. At certain performances, ‘Carole King’ will be played by Leigh Lothian.
Great news for Bronte!!

Hadn't seen this show so thought - what better time to go than the final West End performance?! Paid through the nose for it mind you and broke my £50 ticket rule 😬 Hopefully it will be worth it for closing night! Anyone else going to be in?

I'll be there - but I've seen this a few times before. As jukebox musicals go, this is one of my favourites.

I caught it towards the end of the run I was impressed with her songwriting credits.
The second half dragged- would have loved to see more time dedicated to Carole the artist.

I know that they mime the piano playing but when I saw it Katie was damn good at it. They have to look as if they are playing it and that is what Bronte would need to master.
I've always liked Bronte so was pleased she has such a fantastic role.
I can be sarcastic but this time I was being genuine.

I read somewhere that even though Jessie knew she would mime the piano, she still chose to learn how to play to get the hand movements down properly.

I heard the same but for Katie - she does actually play the piano in real life anyway, so I reckon that it's perfectly plausible that she learnt all the songs, or the hand/finger positions and movements at the very least.

With miming playing, I'd guess you'd just tune the instrument down so no sound comes from it. Does the Beautiful orchestra feature a Grand Piano, as it would take up a lot of space in the pit but if sound was recreated on upright piano/electric piano/keyboard then a knowledgeable person could tell the difference but this could be masked by the other instruments.

It's an electric keyboard in the pit. Given that the sound would be pumped through the PA even if the piano on stage was live, and the quality of sound programmed to keyboards these days, I don't think you can tell the difference! I'm a pianist and I certainly can't

I am so excited for the tour!!! I *only* saw Beautiful once in London, back when it first opened, but it's stayed with me ever since. I remember being sceptical that I didn't really know of Carole King or any of her songs, but actually I knew so many. I'm going to try and drag my Grandma along when it gets to Birmingham, to give me an excuse to see it again. (Incidentally I also spoke to Bronte about the upcoming tour) www.talkstageytome.co.uk/2017/09/interview-bronte-barbe-beautiful-carole.html

Good value £20 tickets for this in the circle at my local, is it worth seeing? Absolutely! The first half gets a touch repetitive toward the end, but you kinda accept that is just the structure of it and move on. Its a great show and whoever plays Carole, its a real showcase of talent for them. I really enjoyed it!

Saw it the last time I ever went to Landon, looking forward to catching the tour in B'ham. Will be interested to see what Bronte is like as Carole having followed her since Over the Rainbow.

According to something on twitter they are running with an alternate for Carole. Anyone know if its a regular slot, and when, or if its just leave and sickness cover?
