Indeed! While I wouldn't put it on my 'most excited ever in the world' list it's defiantly on my 'I'd really like to see it again'
Unless Alfie Boe turns up. But after his less than successful NY run that's not that likely.
I really hope Alfie isn't in this. He's a good singer, but this is just not a part for him. Because Ramin won't be available I'd love to see either Hadley Fraser or Norman Bowman as Barrie

Norman would be great as Barrie. He understudied the part in the original Leicester production.

I saw Norman Bowman on for Barrie in Leicester - he had 1 scheduled show & I went up for it - and I thought he was excellent, in some ways even better than Julian Ovenden who looked a bit young for a man railing about middle age. I don't know how much the role of Barrie has changed since then though as obviously I haven't seen the re-written version. I also suspect the producers may want more of a "name", as so often is the case.

Ah, I knew he was in it but I didn't know he also understudied the part of Barrie. He has a great voice. And it would be nice to see Barrie played by an actual Scotsman.

Yep, Norman definitely had a better Scottish accent than Julian!

So I just bumped into Louise Dearman at Bedford train station and after under the radar fangirling, I said that the role in Finding Neverland cannot be anyone but her. It is her role. ... her response was simply "you're not the only one who has said that to me" with a smile and wink. Its on her radar.

I saw the show in New York and loved it. I don't understand the negativity it received. Great cast. Matthew Morrison was such a strong all round triple threat performer , I felt sore just watching him. Kelsey Grammer was hilarious and Laura Michelle Kelly was lovely.
I can see it doing well in London. It had a healthy year and a half run in the states and it's a British story so should attract an audience even better here.

Alfie Boe will be in Carousel at the ENO from 7 April. I had expected Finding Neverland to have opened by this time. I hope this means he won't be in it.

I thought they were first gonna open it around February. Initially they even wanted to open it in 2016.

I suspect this isn't happening. Another (much better) show is having talks with the Piccadilly.

I have to admit, if the (current) rumoured show opens at the Piccadilly with the currently-rumoured leading lady...well let's just say it's a very exciting prospect.

The fact that Alfie disappeared without a trace from the Broadway production is indicative that he isn't attached to the project any longer.
Neverland is still meant to be happening.

If it turns out to be who we are aware of, it has the potential to be a very special production and performance not just for London, but for her too. I suspect this role could well be a smash for her indeed. *crosses fingers*

I haven't a clue what's being talked about but I'm tempted to say it will be amazing just so I look in the know.

Remember when people had a go at George for saying he knew things without giving anything away or backing it up . . .

Can't we get some sort of clue, cryptic or otherwise?
Is it from Broadway? Is she over 40?

If you're not going to tell us, then there's no use for you to talk about it where we can read it. It just feels like you're trying to brag about knowing something the rest of us don't know.

Yeah and I thought he was meant to do the US tour as well? I thought someone had said Kevin Kern definitely wouldn't be the lead on tour, and then suddenly they announced him as lead after all.
