Could they use some of the songs that are in the stage version of Mamma Mia but not the film? Like What's The Name Of The Game, Under Attack, One of Us and Knowing Me, Knowing You?

Personally I would love for Knowing Me, Knowing You to be in there. It’s a fantastic song and I would be very surprised if it didn’t make the final song selection. Though if you listen carefully to Mamma Mia! The film, it is kind of in there at the end when Sophie walks down the aisle, though it is a very slow instrumental version of the song. With the others you’ve listed I think One of Us and Name of the game have been mooted in interviews I’ve read on the internet. No mention of Under Attack though.

The Name of the Game was filmed but cut from the original film as it features on the original soundtrack.

Oh. And I was hoping for 'The Visitors' or 'The Day Before You Came' to liven things up.

I'm hoping that there will be clips from some of the songs before the film is released next month and that the cast will do these songs justice. Personally, I'm glad that they have used One of Us and Knowing Me, Knowing You from the stage show.

It's a shame that Under Attack isn't included but I like the choices nonetheless.
Bring on the film I say

Will you guys be able to release spoilers nearer the time or no spoilers at all? I'm curious how Lily James is as Young Donna or if they are any niggles.

I somehow feel like this is a film that's going to sell tickets to the people it's going to sell tickets to whether it's any good according to the critics or not.

Well I booked weeks ago, thinking I should see what all the fuss was about. I'll just have to grit my teeth when certain people appear, but I've got a heavy film to start the day (Apostasy); a free matinee slot for I don't yet know what, and this in the early evening, which I hope will round the day off on a cheerful note - as long as I don't join in with the singing, but I think singalong performances will be a way off yet.

New clip on You Tube - Angel Eyes! Well Amanda, Christine and Julie all look and sound great! But then it does cut to the trailer and I can't help but feel like screaming "MERYL!!". Oh, and I spot Ms. Philippa Stefani!

Pierce Brosnon does sing, but not a whole song like last time. In fact non of there three Dad's sing as much as last time.
The movie ends. The credits roll. But before the cinema light turn on, stick around for the extra 20 seconds.

Is this movie better than the original? By now I didn't like so much the trailers. I'm a big fan of the first film and of the stage show. Regards.

Don't know if it's better- that's a matter of personal opinion- however it holds its own and is equal to the original.

Dare I ask the question how much do we get of the reason we are all going: Meryl and Cher?
