I'm also a foster carer for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home:) I love you! Respect and thank you x That's very sweet. Thank you. I love doing it. I've fostered over 20 animals over the years. It's great to be able to see them go onto permanent homes.

In previous lives I have been Maths teacher, Market Research Analyst and Product Manager for Mattessons Slices meats (Mmmmm Mattessons!) Since then I have been lucky enough to work as little as possible in perfect jobs. Currently 2 days a week working at Library Headquaters for a Local Authority. I check new book records and find old books from the stack to send out (we still have books from 1800s that we let anyone borrow!) Whisper it quietly but I think I might even do my job if they didn't pay me!

Ive had a couple of jobs that I got that from but they are few and far between

I have a degree in museum studies, but I'm currently working front of house at a West End theatre while I consider doing the irresponsible thing and head back to school in the hopes of doing some stage management training.

If The Globe's BO ask - I'm a socialite Viscountess. Otherwise, I used to work as a translator both for a news agency and free-lance, a part-time pilates instructor for beginner groups/elderly, a volunteer at the marketing department of the only local theatre that stages musicals and a volunteer at an old-people's home (drama workshop facilitator). Nowadays, I'm mostly a lost soul.

Curiosity often gets the better of me and as I've been following the 'How was your day?' thread, it's struck again. Please tell me what you all do job/career/study/time-wise! And yes I NEED to know, otherwise I might just burst. I'll start-I work for the Police, risk analysis and research (snooze). Over to you... A bizzie!! I didn't do it and I have an alibi Mmm...but why would you even NEED an alibi if you didn't do it, eh eh 🤥 ??!!!

I was a (not so) civil servant for 38 years before early retirement 3 years ago. I'm lucky enough to receive a decent pension, so, like Honoured Guest, I'm economically inactive.
Now I am a (very critical) critic of culture, transport, hotels and restaurants. I go to the theatre, travel and eat out a lot.

Y'all do some very interesting things! Anyone want to help me get a better job ?!

I am proud of what I am... I am a librarian (she says, trying to sound like Rachel Weisz)
Impressed with the variety of jobs on here - theatre lovers come from all walks of life! Particularly jealous of Phantom of London as the London Underground is my other great obsession (a few years ago I decided I wanted to visit every single tube station and even had a blog about it...)

Ah that is sweet, no need to be envious - I haven't even visited every tube station and I have worked on it for 22 years. It's not so great when the alarm goes off at 5am or you are there until 1am sorting out a complex problem.

I own several fishing boats and have a Canning Factory.
When we can find some babysitters we love to visit a big city and go see shows. Though I sometimes enjoy them most on my own.
