Sounds interesting but is it now the NT's remit to do 3 week West End try-outs of Broadway transfers?

Is it technically a try-out if the West End transfer is already confirmed? It's not like they don't have previous form with JT Rogers plays.

Is this all or have they more to announce? Have they announced their upcoming Chekhov yet?

This has always been on the top my list to see.
But pointless opening in the National for 3 weeks, then transferring to the Harold Pinter.

Maybe they are using NT resources (subsidies) to pay for the set and move this over to save costs in the commercial theatre!

ATG are the commercial producer which isn't surprising as they've been involved in a number of Lincoln Center shows like The King and I, Women on the Verge, South Pacific etc hence why it's going to the Pinter after the National run.

Saw the show on Broadway yesterday. The cast told me none of them have been offered to star in the London production (yet) and they are not sure about the casting. One of them didn't even know it was going to London! It's a great show by the way! A bit too long, but good nevertheless.

Was looking at dates to book and was horrified to see that the running time in NY was nearly 3 hours! That means a matinee despite the annoyingly early start.

Will they show this on NT live? It's transferring to the Harold Pinter after the NT run so probably not

So, have we heard if any of the New York cast are coming with this production at all?

Tony won for Best Play. Wikipedia is saying that the British cast will be entirely new, but there's no source given for this intelligence. It would be good to see Jennifer Ehle come home, but otherwise I'm expecting 'no stars, just talent'.

It would be good to see Jennifer Ehle come home I agree, it would be glorious to have Jennifer Ehle come back to British theatre but she is American so I think "home" for her is there.

I'm still debating whether to book for this or not probably wait for the cast to be announced.
