Yes, Cabin Pressure totally amazing. Double Acts are stupendous. Not laugh out loud but intriguing and a big grin at the end. And with fab casts. I got as CDs for the car. Take you a long way! Recommend for Xmas pressie. Ad over.

Cabin Pressure is BRILLIANT, I strongly recommend everyone listen to it, and if you've run out, then you may wish to look into John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme and Double Acts. I did see souvenir programme as well will have to check it out once I've exhausted Cabin Pressure. I feel like I must have been loving under a rock to have missed it haha.

I may not like jaffa cakes but EAT (the cafe chain) is currently doing a small cake slice described as, and named "Jaffa Cake" and that does meet with my approval. Except, that is, in terms of its modest proportions but it's a start and a nice change from the usual seasonal fare.

Got to meet Richard Ayoade at the BFI's Christmas shop/drink extravaganza tonight - he seemed perfectly decent but I got the impression he wasn't ready for anybody to ask him about future episodes of Travel Man, from the little I gleaned from him, I get the impression he hasn't been sent on any weekend breaks in Croydon...

I want double the dog-siting money for this one, for dog-sitting the owners. The old lady who actually owns it is lovely, and very grateful for little updates and pictures because she misses her- no problem takes me 2 minutes. The daughter however is checking up every day with new things we 'should' be doing (that we've already been told) and basically doesn't trust us. I get it, you worry but also I'm not being paid enough to babysit and dog sit!! Also, we can cope with one small doggy. Argh!!

An article about mince pies ("Are mince pies too boozy for children?" with the answer obviously being "no") prompted me to buy a box today, figuring they'd last the weekend.
They lasted six hours.

I had chips today. Not so good for the diet. We were out for my friend's Birthday and options were a bit limited - the pub didn’t seem to understand anything that wasn’t on their pre-programmed till menu.
Then we went on to kareoke. Singing (really badly) burns calories, right? There may have been very bad dancing, too.
Did manage to bag a bargain (literally) this morning - Warehouse have their office a couple of floors above us and were doing a sample sale for charity yesterday. Today they decided to reduce everything left over to 50 p each! I got a handbag and a belt, and picked up a few bits to offer my nieces - if they don’t like them they only host me a couple of quid, so no big deal.

Bad puns make me hot and cross. Oh, I simply cannot resist this.... Was warned yesterday that as it is so cold, I should keep my gloves handy. Ahem, well, they obviously didn't want you to end up as an Arctic Monkey did they? (It's ok, I'll walk.)

Was warned yesterday that as it is so cold, I should keep my gloves handy. Oh, and another from a certain board member this morning (no names, but no angel) didn't help matters. Bad puns make me hot and cross. That’s how I like my buns. Stick to mince pies this time of year though...

The universe conspired this morning to make me happy. For some reason I could use the BBC iPlayer again, so I watched the docu about the real Jamie during (and after) breakfast. Not sure how long my luck holds.

My Dog-Sitting saga continues with: the dog is now in season. Great, just bloody great. Might have been nice to mention that might happen. So now I'm cleaning up all kinds of mess. And it's a howling monstrosity.
Also just f***ing neuter your pets people.

When medical student daughter asks "How are you mum?" and you answer honestly.
People, apparently I have African trypanosomiasis.💉😷😱
And the good news is that there are 5 years and 46 weeks until she is unleashed onto you lot.....😅

Went to friends last night. Friend insisted on cocktails. I am in a bit of a "state" this morning. If you tell me something sad, I might cry. At least I'm leaving the office in 7.5 hours. *sobs*

If you tell me something sad, I might cry. Shelley Winters dies in The Poseidon Adventure without ever seeing her grandchild.

I've also just found out that chances of me marrying Prince Harry dropped significantly. Worst. Day. Ever. Poor, poor Michal. There's nothing we can do about Prince Harry. That ship has sailed... However, despite TallPaul trying to ruin your day, Shelley Winter's grandchild wasn't that fussed about Grandma's watery death in her Poseidon Adventure: So it's not all doom and gloom.

I have to say Phil Collins was absolutely f***ing excellent on Sunday.
No doubting his commitment to his material at all, a sweeter voice than you'd think.

Tired and cold sums up my day, at least it's just two more days till my weekend. Working outside at this time of year means getting to work at 5:30 and finishing at 16:30 because of daylight. If only I found it easy to go to sleep before midnight, would make life much easier.
