I'm actually quite excited to see what these are! Feel a bit sorry for them on timings - not a lot of room for non-political news today...

It's sort of rude that they started the queue so early. I honestly reckon they could've sold a few additional priority memberships last night by quietly updating the website but now there's no chance of buying a priority membership until... well, until priority booking opens.

So....here's a few things I gleaned! The ticket return policy is great...return tickets up to 48 hrs before for either exchange or credit at £2 a ticket (so similar to National) Lots of Sunday performances ....3pm 250 promenade tickets for each show for Caesar at £25 a throw

Hmmm, yes, it also means you can't log in/create any kind of log in - unless I'm missing something. Bit weird to be put in a queue rather than allowed to see what you might be queuing for first.

Actually we're all in a queue to join a queue. When booking starts we'll be assigned a random place in the booking queue.

Public booking Apr 27. Advance booking (£15) Apr 26. Priority booking (£50/£35 if under 35) today.
Can't wait for the obvious Proust adaptation given that their Food and Drink offering includes "Freshly-baked madeleines for the interval will be available for pre-order only on a first come first served basis."

I'm trying to quickly click menu but I simply don't have enough hands to cheat the system, this is a very frustrating morning!

Yeah, I'm not being quick enough to get in either. I'm being very rude to my visiting parents who are having to make their own breakfast!

Why didn't The Bridge e-mail it's subscribers with details of the shows available earlier so that they could have a) thought about what they wanted to book, and b) decided if they wanted to buy memberships to take advantage of priority booking?
Maybe they have learned a lesson...?? If you can teach old hands new tricks!!

Not always very high value in terms of ticket yield or donations

Does sound like an interesting season but I can't see any of these selling out a 900 seat theatre. Nightfall in particular sounds like the kind of thing the Royal Court (capacity 380) would put on.
So Julius Caesar sounds like there will be 250 promenade tickets + 650 seated tickets?
I like the warning for the Barney Norris play - "May contain moderate language"

I wonder if they are actually expecting to sell 900 seats every night? I mean, they are both long-standing professionals, they must have a good insight into the realities of getting bums on seats. If it's flexible, presumably you can have as many seats as you like.

Young Marx -
1850, and Europe’s most feared terrorist is hiding in Dean Street, Soho. Broke, restless and horny, the thirty-two-year-old revolutionary is a frothing combination of intellectual brilliance, invective, satiric wit, and child-like emotional illiteracy.
Creditors, spies, rival revolutionary factions and prospective seducers of his beautiful wife all circle like vultures. His writing blocked, his marriage dying, his friend Engels in despair at his wasted genius, his only hope is a job on the railway. But there’s still no one in the capital who can show you a better night on the piss than Karl Heinrich Marx.
Rory Kinnear plays Marx and Oliver Chris, Engels. The production reunites the creative team behind Richard Bean’s smash hit One Man, Two Guvnors, with direction by Nicholas Hytner, design by Mark Thompson, music by Grant Olding, sound by Paul Arditti and lighting by Mark Henderson. The show will be broadcast on National Theatre Live in December.

JC -
Caesar returns in triumph to Rome and the people pour out of their homes to celebrate. Alarmed by the autocrat’s popularity, the educated élite conspire to bring him down. After his assassination, civil war erupts on the streets of the capital.
Nicholas Hytner’s production will be in promenade, thrusting its audience into the street party that greets Caesar’s return, the congress that witnesses his murder, the rally that assembles for his funeral and the chaos that explodes in its wake. Ben Whishaw and Michelle Fairley play Brutus and Cassius, leaders of the coup, David Calder plays Caesar and David Morrissey is Mark Antony, who brings Rome back under control after the conspirators’ defeat.
With seating wrapped around the action, there will also be 250 promenading tickets at £25 available in advance for each performance. The production designer is Bunny Christie, with costumes by Christina Cunningham, lighting by Bruno Poet and music by Nick Powell.

Nightfall -
On a farm outside Winchester, Ryan struggles to make a living off the land. His sister Lou has returned home after the death of their father to support Jenny, their formidable mother. Not so long ago, when a neighbour’s Labrador strayed onto the farm, their dad reached for his shotgun. Now, when Lou’s boyfriend Pete reappears, flush with money from his job at an oil refinery, Jenny fights to hold her children to the life she planned for them.

Oh excellent! I'm so tired of the idea perpetuated by the Globe and the RSC (and Robert Icke) that no Shakespeare play should come in under 3 hours, not even the short ones. Caesar can fit beautifully into two hours so I'm excited to see a production that agrees with that.

Mine is paused. And the 'priority phone number' doesn't exist.
Not a good start
