Baz tweeted that Oslo, which is currently playing a sold out run Off-Broadway, may be transferring to the National! I really hope it makes it's way across the pond, I really wanted to see it last time I was in NY, but tickets are really hard (well, any reasonably priced tickets) to get!

Who has got that thankless task of seeing shows in New York and recommending them to the National's Artistic Director? I would hate to do that job, go figure.

For someone who's job takes him around the world anyway, Baz always has big holidays. He tends to have a long summer holiday and also post xmas. His twitter account has said he is in California.

At least he doesn't complain about how hard going to the theatre/around the world for work is constantly...unlike some we could mention.

Yeah, his tweets last night weren't exactly up to standard, but we've got the regulation two webpages of Baz-film-and-theatre-chat on the Fail website this morning (though I appreciate many rely solely on the tweets, having simply too much moral fibre to visit the website itself).

There must be an announcement about what's next at the Menier on the way fairly soon given She Loves Me only has six weeks left to run. Maybe tonight will be the night!

I think he is a very friendly and nice person
And kind
Polite
Often does have scoops
But often the tweets are shameless sycophantic and pointless
Take this evening
Multiple tweets for "The Band"
Which are basically a free promo
No actual meaningful content
Stretched out over 3 posts

I'm sure he's a very nice man, but I saw the Q & A he did with Idris Elba at the BFI after a screening of Mandela, My Dad and Me a couple of years back and he came across as a bit clueless to be honest, I'm not sure why so many people get so excited about his tweets (or lack of them).

You are right!!! He is a bit of a free promo machine Usually for shows which aren't that good It's not like he pushes shows at Barbican Donmar etc that often Tend to go with the commercial C listers
