Apparently Elaine Paige just said on her show there will be some big Legally Blonde news next week...

Yeah, I heard that - though I wonder whether she'll just be announcing the Curve Leicester production as her "news" on EPOS is sometimes not very up-to-date!!

Maybe they'll announce that the Leicester production will subsequently go on tour?

I'm sure this is planning to tour. I can't remember where/who told me but I'm sure I wasn't daydreaming!

Can they pkease go on tour or extend or whatever so that my life wouldn't be so sad and I could see Jon Robyns as Emmett? Dear Santa...

Tour seems most likely as it's been rumoured for ages if I'm not mistaken.

Really hope the show tours or even a new production. I am so excited to hear what the "big news" is! Any ideas??

I heard no UK tour, but Asia instead (Korea?!).

A rather cringeworthy tv advert has surfaced for this. We don't often get theatre adverts in the midlands, so I'm wondering if this isn't selling that well - I'm going in a couple of weeks because my sister is a Curve member and they occasionally send out £5 tickets to certain shows. Also, it appears that Curve aren't employing the orchestra pit for Legally Blonde, so hopes of a full orchestra are slim as the backstage/studio space is being used for another play.

Curve musicals rarely have a pit. The only one I've known was Oliver at Christmas. Usually the band are elsewhere.

Yes, I've seen them remove the dividing wall to the studio and have the orchestra there at the back before which is quite effective as it opens up the whole space, but obviously can't be done too often. The pit was also used for Finding Neverland, but that wasn't a Curve production. It's a shame they don't use it more often.

Hmm. This looks... odd. Anyway, Friday next week and I'm so looking forward to seeing the show again. It's been a while (2nd January, to be precise )

think they used the pit for hello dolly as well? Didn't Hello Dolly have the band visible at the back of the stage? That's what I seem to remember.

Just gotten an eMail that tomorrow's public dress rehearsal has been turned into a closed rehearsal. Wonder what's going on.
From the mail:
Anyone on here seeing this during its first week?

A dress rehearsal is a rehearsal with an audience so there must be something wrong with the show for them to not want any audience there. How strange?

Recently, it's more rare for the public dress rehearsals to go ahead.

It's very common for the public dress rehearsal not to go ahead. I don't know why they bother advertising them. The PDR for their other production 'Wipers' that was scheduled for tonight didn't go ahead either. It's nothing to worry about.

Although I've heard it's not selling that well. Not sure if it is or not.

Although I've heard it's not selling that well. Not sure if it is or not. I don't think it is selling that well to be honest. Which i find rather surprising as it seems the most hyped about Curve production in recent times and has a good cast. Plus it's a popular show. I don't know why it's struggling a bit (if indeed it is). I'm pretty sure Grease is the Christmas musical so i imagine that will be popular though.

I'm seeing it Wednesday 20th, so fairly soon. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I love the show, I'm a fan of Jon Robyns, plus I never saw it in the West End, although I just did this show with my uni musical theatre society! Can't wait to hear people report back on it.
When's press night for this btw. Maybe I'm just being oblivious but I couldn't see it on the website.

I love the show, I'm a fan of Jon Robyns, plus I never saw it in the West End, although I just did this show with my uni musical theatre society! Can't wait to hear people report back on it. Apologies for me being nosy, but what part were you playing? When's press night for this btw. Maybe I'm just being oblivious but I couldn't see it on the website. Haven't found it on their website either, but that information sounds as if it were on the 14th April: from www.westendframe.com/2016/02/full-casting-announced-for-legally.html

Apologies for me being nosy, but what part were you playing? No problem. I played the exciting role of Winthrop/Ensemble ('and now Miss Elle Woods, who was kind enough to send in a headshot'). I really love this show!

No problem. I played the exciting role of Winthrop/Ensemble ('and now Miss Elle Woods, who was kind enough to send in a headshot'). There are no small parts. And that's something I could never do. So do I. I'm dying to see a proper production (nothing against the Upstairs at the Gatehouse production this christmas, but this one will hopefully be one with a set and full orchestra). I'm so thankful for the professional MTV recording which I've watched countless times. Turns out I still know the entire show by heart. And if I lived in the UK, I'd see it much more often than six times.
