Oh whoever I'd heard from got the wrong end of the stick - they'd told me cancelled at the palladium but failed to mention moving to DL.
Had basically no interest in this as it's your usual folks (Lucie Jones, Cedric, a strallen etc) but Patricia Hodge as Berthe is...excellent casting, and it's be fun to see Alex.
Fingers crossed for offers.

I have friends that are seriously pissed off with the change of date as they can no longer attend and had booked a hotel.

Am I right in thinking Hodge was in the original London production?

Luckily the change of dates are OK for me as nothing booked as long as I get similar seats that I had booked for Palladium. It's a great cast especially Jac Yarrow as Pippin. I think he will be excellent. I remember Patricia Hodge coming to the press night of Pippin at the Menier and being told she was in the original production.

The Change of dates for this actually work much better for me I had been waiting to see if I could get off work to come back down to London.
Very excited I love pippin and think the cast are great very excited to get to hear one of my favourite scores again.

I don’t know what the people commenting on IG were listening to.

Hmm. That is a bit screechy for me. I love the song. The last time I saw Pippin was at The Charing Cross theatre and I really enjoyed it. Given this current clip, I think I'd rather listen to that cast! (Though I am sure I'll go to the Pippin concert).

Is she doing the chorus an octave higher or is it always like that?!

Neither part of the song fits her voice properly.
And breath control is not what it should be.
Hopefully by the end of rehearsals it will be a better integrated vocal performance

Just heard a short clip of Alex Newell singing On The Right Track and riffing allover the place. Hope she doesn't do too much of it on the night. It just annoys me and its as if they are showing off. Just sing it as it was written please.

I don’t know why they feel the need to do it. I’ve long suspected that it’s intended to disguise shortcomings but this person seems to have a good reputation so 🤷🏻♂️.

Well I thought this interview with Jac Yarrow was pretty excellent. We’ve not heard him speak in depth about anything beyond Joseph and thought it was brave for him to speak out about the recent Arts Ed allegations. I reckon his Pippin will be rather splendid and hope we get to see him do more challenging work going forwards: open.spotify.com/episode/6JOiVdjvT5l7ncryR7FkKz

Just listened to it and it was very interesting. He comes over really well. Sat next to him a few weeks ago at a concert and had a bit of a chat about Pippin and other things and he was really nice and genuine.
