Apparently it was Adam v Angela R. Adam out. That's a shame. I wonder of it will be Angela R and Krishnan next week? The more that leave, the more focus will be on those that reman.

Adam had been in the bottom 2 last week and was the lowest scorer. Angela S was below Angela R in the judges vote so public vote for Angela S must have been better for Angela R. Likewise Krishnan must still be getting a decent public vote. Annabel had been down the leaderboard but was strong last night.
I'd feel Angela S can have a stronger week than Angela R and Krishnan next week so I agree with what Anthony says. I thought KGM wanted to get to Halloween week and anything beyond that is a bonus and the Angela R Blackpool week exit would be a nice story.
Then maybe its Annabel and Angela S so semi final leaves us with Layton, Ellie, Bobby and Nigel and one of Bobby and Nigel goes.

So long as Layton and Ellie make the final...I really want to see their show dances.

One of those years no one is really getting a bottom two bounce the following week. Survive one and you just go out the next week anyway.

Only Shirley voted for Krishnan clearly she was intent on becoming the oldest person on the show. No surprise KGM went as he was lowest scorer by some way. Angela R clearly not getting public vote but with only a few points between so many this week, next week's dance off could be interesting.

Apparently Krishnan v Angela R. Krishnan out. Fair result. It was his time to go. And Angela R gets to Blackpool as expected...so perfect week for her to finish on?

These are the votes from Strictly Spoiler
WEEK 9 (BLACKPOOL) - WHO GOT YOUR VOTE? (SELECT UP TO 3) Ellie and Vito 24.85% (21518 votes) Angela S and Carlos 18.58% (16088 votes) Annabel and Johannes 17.92% (15514 votes) Nigel and Katya 12.67% (10969 votes) Bobby and Dianne 12.46% (10790 votes) Layton and Nikita 11.65% (10083 votes) Angela R and Kai 1.86% (1614 votes)
Quite a surprising poll outcome. But not out of line with recent weeks.

Bobby's fanbase might not be as big as some thought. It was trending on twitter last night that he looked like Mick Jagger too. There is a slight likeness but only really the lips.

Given that it's mainly the same people voting week after week, it'll be interesting to see where the votes transfer to as the field gets smaller. Almost 25% of the total vote is pretty amazing at this stage.

Having seen the judges scores before the spoilers came out. I'm not surprised about who the bottom two were. Nigel got more public votes than Layton so that was the only movement there. I wonder if Layton gets a rebound next week with the public or he could be in the dance off from here on in. If he is in dance off for next couple of weeks and scores heavily then he'll likely take out whoever he is against.

With Shirley having taken against him tonight, I would imagine he is less certain of surviving a second dance off
But let's see what tunes/dances they get next week.

He only scored 34 when he had been up at 38/39 so that made him vulnerable this week. If his score is back to what it was next week he'll be okay but if it isn't then he could be in danger

With Shirley having taken against him tonight, I would imagine he is less certain of surviving a second dance off But let's see what tunes/dances they get next week. I'm hoping that Shirley is just trying to light a fire under their asses to get Layton & Nikita to deliver something extra special next week. It's Musicals Week and Layton still has big crowd pleasers like Paso and Charleston on his dance card. I think there's a good chance he could bounce back, especially with a better leader-board position.

Musicals week should in theory play out well for both Layton and Nigel provided they get the right dance combined with a suitable song and don't stray too far from the requirements of that dance. Ellie hasn't done couples choice yet, so if they're going to do it at all it will be next week rather than the semifinals which might be risky. That leaves Annabel and Bobby looking most vulnerable, but it all depends on who comes up with the goods on the night.

I know this is a spoiler thread, but maybe the post above me should go in spoiler tags? I opened the thread not expecting Christmas spoilers so others might too. I just thought it might be something about the main series.

The public has no say in the Christmas special and what competition there is is pretty flimsy, so why would anyone care?

I had just glanced at the Strictly Spoiler website and saw Xmas results were up. So I decided to pop them in here, they over score everyone on that show and have an unseen audience vote so who wins in my book isn't that important.
