Does anyone know about the Garrick? Curious as I know For Black Boys has extended four weeks, but might they get something to fill the June/July gap between this and Why Am I So Single?

So Standing at the Sky's Edge won't extend and Wizard of Oz does 1 month at Gillian Lynne leaving it free from mid September. Just for One Day could transfer there? Feels like a sensible house for that show.

Do you find the general trend is shows/casting being announced with less notice that about 5 years ago?

I'm curious about the next sohoplace show. I imagine they will be announcing soon due to the limited run for Red Pitch, but nonetheless interested to see what they might do. Would love to see them take on another classic like Medea, recent shows have been more contemporary I would imagine an announcement will be coming very soon as Red Pitch is due to finish on 4th May. Also expecting some sort of announcement soon for the Harold Pinter.

Sohoplace must be almost immediate, no later than next week I'd imagine

Given the date, if it's coming very late tonight, after midnight, it could well be an April Fool...

Um... what has he actually told us? Sorry if I'm being daft, but I cannot gleam anything except "announcement coming soon" which would be true most of the time anyway

That is a terrible post with no purpose what so ever. The poster could link it to any announcement coming out in the next month. Meh.

Does anyone know when the new NT season will be announced? I'd like them to finish announcing this season!
Coriolanus with David Oyelowo was announced and then radio silence. A poster here suggested Antigone upthread which was later confirmed by Tobias Menzies.

Flamboyant gay man who sometimes performs in drag gets cast as flamboyant gay man who performs drag. It’s not exactly groundbreaking is it.

Coriolanus still very much happening! Running alongside Antigone in Lyttelton with Emma D’arcy. War Horse coming back too...

Curious as to what will transfer from the current Broadway season. Of the musicals, I would say The Notebook and Tommy the most likely two to make it to the West End. The others I think it unlikely we see in their current productions, although The Outsiders would be nice to see transfer (and Lempicka, but with its current numbers I'd say very doubtful)
For plays I imagine we could see Stereophonic at Hampstead theatre or somewhere similar.

Isn't Stereophonic produced by Sonia Friedman? She'd probably take it straight into the West End.

Tommy wasn't successful first time around in the West End so the revival might be seen as a risk.

Could Jeremy Strong’s An Enemy of the People transfer to @sohoplace? It’s currently on Circle in the Square which has similar configurations as @sohoplace. He might perform in London after two years, and he’ll most likely be extensively promoting his upcoming film, The Apprentice, which is going to be in competition at Cannes this year. (Given the film’s subject matter and the upcoming US election…) Or not transfer at all since Matt Smith’s version is recent?

So there is a short filler going into Gielgud until end of July when Opening Night was meant to close and then something scheduled goes in for a run before Olivier opens December 14th. Any news on any of that? Ta!
