I was keen to see this but I already had a matinee booked for that day and the 9.30pm start time of the evening shows put me off as it was too much of a rush for my last train.
Anyone who is going please report back on how it goes!

I was keen to see this but I already had a matinee booked for that day and the 9.30pm start time of the evening shows put me off as it was too much of a rush for my last train. Anyone who is going please report back on how it goes! I'll give it a go! i went to the Friday evening show and had a fantastic time. Loved the intimate venue, had a great seat looking directly onto the stage adorned with Yamaha piano, sofa and chair, coffee table, water, red roses, carpet, guitars, banjo. Seth Rudetzsky and Ramin were great bouncing off each other, lots of chat about his early life and career interspersed with song mainly accompanied by Seth on the piano, or guitarist friend (Matt?), joined for a few duets by Emma who's been playing Evita to his Che in Japan, also Jeremy Javert ...impromptu up on stage for a cameo of Fantines death /the confrontation between JVJ and Javert which was so funny. Sorry I can't remember the names of the others properly. Ramin's voice was captivating, he looked amazing with his silky black curls and full beard, came across as very humble and funny. There were a few questions at the end from the audience. He said he was back from filming a tv show in Morocco that day. I booked this before I knew he was touring having seen him earlier in the year at the Royal Festival Hall feeling I needed to see him again, booked a show at the Sage when the tour was announced and half thought this show ( late on a Friday night with the expense of travelling from the north east, hotel expenses etc ) may not be worth attending but I was so glad I went, it was a gem of a show. I half wished Id booked the two shows on Saturday too as it was clear it was not rigidly planned and there were to be some other songs for them. So glad I went and can now look forward to the January she I've booked.

Many thanks to fridayfan for posting that review. I'd have liked to have gone but the ticket prices put me off, even when it was discounted late last week it was just too difficult to make plans. So - thanks

Just posted on Twitter - London Musical Theatre Orchestra Unfortunately due to ill health @johnowenjones won’t be performing tonight at #BestOfTheWestEnd. However, we’re delighted that our old friend @raminkarimloo has stepped in to save the day! Last few tickets:

First night of his 2019 tour , Guildfords Yvone Arnaud Theatre. Full and enthusiastic stalls, empty Dress Circle ... Two locally sourced support acts, interval, Ramin on from 8.30 to just before 10pm. I didn't make a list, but memorable were Cat Stevens Moonshadow, LND's Til I Hear You Sing, The Frozen and Hamilton songs, bit of Les Mis ...
First night of the tour, as I said ... Bit of settling in, lots of laughs, it felt quite intimate an I enjoyed the evening very much. He really does have a phenomenal voice, although I wasn't sure about a couple of notes he hit.
SOMETHING - is being announced tomorrow, Monday 13th .. No idea what, seems to be as much of a surprise to Ramin who was working on the tour.

I've seen a few mentions of his next job but never what it is (or is his next job common knowledge?). I don't particularly follow what Ramin is up to but every now and then watch some of his instagram stories because I follow him.

Ah - wait, what?🌡 West End and Broadway leading man @raminkarimloo is confirmed to join the cast of @bbcone's #HolbyCity this spring, playing Kian Madani.
Well, that really was unexpected!

Yup. I've requested heard that it's written into his contract that each episode has to feature a scene with his shirt off. Or else, I've told them I will not pay the licence fee.

Most rude of him to be in Holby not Casualty, as the latter films on my doorstep. But like @ryan I will be putting in a complaint should he not appear shirtless AT LEAST once an episode.

Whilst thrilled for him, it does make me sad we won't see him on stage for a while. I always find it a bit bittersweet when a stage actor goes into TV, which is selfish of me I know, but for example, I would love to of seen what Tamara Wall's stage career would of become... then she joined Hollyoaks and has been there for over five years!

I drove home from Guildford last night running through the up-and-coming and promised/anticipated shows for 2019 thinking what part could he be playing ... Could utterly see him in Groundhog Day, etc. The casting in a TV soap, for me, is really disappointing although hopefully it's going to do wonders for his tour dates. I'm going to have to watch Holby now, which I don't think I've done before.

Even he isn't enough to make me watch Holby!
I am looking forward to seeing him in Milton Keynes on Wednesday though. Emma Hatton is joining him, and at Cadogan Hall tonight as well.

Milton Keynes has Stephensings as support, the young Irish busker who has a good YouTube channel, sang with Ramin as he was passing, and Celinde Schoenmaker. I saw him Leicester Square some years ago and stopped in my tracks, had a chat with him after. Please let me know how he does.

The lure of the TV money...….
We theatre folk have know about him for years of course but the general public will not know his name. It will be incredible for his future profile, theatre work and pay.
The TV audience will see him on Holby City doing Children in Need and be ASTONISHED the doctor can sing!

I envy the cast who will get to hear Ramin and Lee Mead jam when they are not filming. You know its going to happen.

Sorry, no - there's a Ramin fangroup on Facebook that I lurk, er, look at now and again, and I follow Stephensings, so saw him post on there. Might be worth checking out.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lovely Ramin last night - warm and funny and with that effortless belt of his. He did what you'd expect (Phantom, LND, Les Mis, Evita) and a few surprises. Emma Hatton joined him for 2 duets. Support was a local duo (Sam and Ben, I think) and Stephen Sings, who was excellent. 35 minutes of support, then interval, then Ramin til around 10.15.

Thoroughly enjoyed the concert in Shrewsbury last night. Has band of keyboard, guitar, fiddle and double bass led to some very interesting versions of showtunes from Les Mis, Phantom and LND among loads of ofher songs of all genres. He has a lovely rapport with the audience. Loved him calling out 2 people on the front row (albeit in a jovial manner) for using their phones.

Ramin's first episode of Holby City airs at last on Tuesday 23rd. According to my listings magazine the new surgeon "causes a commotion..with his charm and good looks". Seems reasonable.

Can't wait! He's going to be the arch nemesis of Jac Naylor and her extra sharp cheekbones apparently which should be fun. And I know he was evil to poor little Dom but the deeeeeeeeeeelicious Marc Elliott is back soon too! I'm going to need to crack open a window during 'Holby', it'll be just too hot.

Ramin Karimloo is so scrumptious! Might have to add Holby City to my Tues night schedule! 😆 Waste of his gorgeous voice though if he doesn’t get to perform as much now!
